Nokia brings folders to Windows Phone with its Black Update for all Lumia WP8 devices starting today

One of the most requested features on Windows Phone(since 7), creating folders on the start screen, has been fulfilled by Nokia in its latest firmware update “Lumia Black”. The update, slated to be available for all Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices, was already available for the Lumia 1520 and the Lumia 1020(AT&T), but begins its official rollout with the brand new folders feature today. Nokia has been the clear leader in Windows Phone, so it bringing a highly requested feature is nothing new, as we have seen so many features being implemented by the company in the past. The new folders feature will just be one among the many that Nokia users will get with the latest Lumia Black update that will eventually roll out to all the Windows Phone 8 Lumia devices soon.

Nokia Lumia 925: What’s New in the Amber Update?

We have been playing around with the Nokia Lumia 925 for a while, and had unboxed it to provide a first look of the device, but there is a lot more to talk about. While the 4.5 inch AMOLED screen, the six element lens and the new design and build are the major hardware changes from the 920, the software here is the star, called as the Nokia Amber update. The Amber update, is actually additive to the Windows Phone GDR2 release that brings some minor improvements to all Windows Phone devices. The Amber update though, brings a lot of usable improvements exclusively to Nokia Lumia devices. Lets go through every one of them.

Samsung Galaxy S4 gets first software update to improve stability

It’s been barely a week since Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 in India and the device has already got a software update via OTA.The update brings stability improvements to the S4 and looks like an initial bug fix update.The phone is already running on Android 4.2.2 and this looks like a low level firmware update and not an OS update. Symbian Belle devices getting ‘Upload to SkyDrive’ option via Software Update

Symbian Tweet reports that an optional update being pushed out for Symbian Belle devices is bringing support for uploading images to SkyDrive. Users are required to authenticate their phone by entering their Live account details after which they will be presented with an option to automatically send photos to SkyDrive.

ASUS EeePad Transformer To Get Android 3.2 Update Tomorrow

ASUS recently tweeted that, the Android 3.2 update for this tablet will be rolled out from tomorrow. This update expected to come with compatability zoom for phone apps, support for microSD loading and other tablet-based optimizations.

Earlier this year, ASUS launched its first tablet device, the ASUS EeePad Transformer. This tablet runs on the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) Operating System and it comes with a 10.1 WXGA display, 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 5 megapixel rear camera, etc. We have a good news for the owners of the ASUS EeePad Transformer. Nokia E75 gets a Firmware update, V110.48.125 Now

Nokia today released a firmware update to its latest QWERTY E-Series handset the E75. The current firmware for the device stands at V110.48.125 up from v100.48.78. The firmware update is available via the Nokia Software updater and also Over The Air(OTA). The OTA update is around 5 mb and would be a breeze if you are using wi-fi or 3G but it might take some time on EDGE connection. The device supports UDP(User Data Preservation) so none of your contacts messages etc will be deleted but we still advice you to make a backup of the device before updating
