Samsung Galaxy S5 users will soon get the latest Android KitKat 4.4.3 update. It was reported last month that these two devices are being tested for the update. According to a leaked internal document found by Android Geeks, the update for Galaxy S5 is coming this month.

There is a lot of negativity surrounding the Taiwanese phone maker HTC recently due to some high profile departures from the company including Chief Product Officer Kouji Kodera and Asia CEO Lennard Hoornik. But the company has managed to sell 5 million units of the its flagship HTC One smartphone since launch according to a report by the WSJ. HTC’s main Android rival Samsung just announced today that it had sold over 10 million units of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone in record time. The HTC One hit many markets before the Galaxy S4 but HTC is still struggling with the global roll out. India was supposed to get the phone in end of April but it is finally going on sale only this month end. HTC was also involved in some legal trouble with respect to the HDR microphone on the device. The HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 are 2 high-end smartphones with some very impressive specs.The HTC One has a very premium feel to it and is made of metal and packs a 4.7 inch Super LCD 1080p HD display. The Galaxy S4 on the other hand is fully made of plastic and is extremely thin and light and packs a 5 inch SuperAMOLED 1080p HD display. Both phones are priced relatively the same worldwide. We were at the Samsung Galaxy S4 India launch event held at a pretty interesting location , the Kingdom of Dreams in Gurgaon near Delhi. Here is our unboxing video of the retail package which will go on sale in India today at several stores across India mainly in Delhi , Mumbai , Bangalore and Hyderabad.The Indian version packs Samsung’s Octa-core processor which is a combination of a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor.

Looks like Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S4 in India through multiple channels. The much anticipated Android phone will be launched at Reliance Digital Stores across India on April 27th with a launch party for pre-booking customers in the evening in Mumbai. Certain outlets have started pre-bookings since yesterday. We had reported today morning about the Galaxy S4 going on sale on Samsung’s official online store on 27th.
