At the E3 2019 back in June Microsoft revealed details about its high-end Xbox console codenamed ‘Project Scarlett’. Today the company has confirmed that it will be called the ‘Xbox Series X’, offering four times the processing power of Xbox One X, thanks to the custom-designed processor, leveraging the latest Zen 2 and Radeon RDNA architecture from AMD, high bandwidth GDDR6 memory, and a next generation solid state drive (SSD). Microsoft ended support for Windows 8.1 Mobile operating system back in 2017 and earlier this year it announced that support for Windows 10 Mobile OS will end in December this year. As announced, Microsoft has now ended support for Windows 10 Mobile OS and Office Apps will reach the end of support on January 21st, 2021.

When project Scarlett was announced back in June, it was reported that there would two variants in the earlier leaks: the high-performance Anaconda and the lower-end Lockhart. A new report from Kotaku has confirmed that the cheaper, digital-only alternative to Scarlett called Lockhart is still in development.

Microsoft already has separate Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps for Android, and it has been updating the app with new features. Last week it started testing a new Microsoft Office app that combines Word, Excel and PowerPoint into one. Along with Surface Neo, dual-screen device that runs Windows 10X, Microsoft also introduced Surface Duo, a new Surface smartphone that runs Android. It has two paper-thin 5.6-inch screens that unfold to 8.3-inch tablet. You can make phone calls and the 360° hinge lets you use it in a variety of modes, said Microsoft. The Surface Duo comes with Google Play Store and runs Microsoft Launcher.
