Microsoft said to be working on Windows Lite for dual-screen Chromebook-like devices

Microsoft is said to be preparing a new lightweight version of Windows for Dual-screen devices and Chromebook competitors. According to a new report, the company is said to be working on stripping back its Windows user interface with dual screens in mind. Microsoft Excel app now lets you add data to spreadsheet directly from a photo

Microsoft is adding the ability which allows users to take a photo of a printed data table and convert it into a fully editable table in the Excel app for iOS and Android. At the MWC 2019 event, Microsoft has introduced the HoloLens 2 that is enhanced with many advancements across the board. This includes a visual display system, making holograms even more vibrant and realistic. The company has doubled down the field of view in HoloLens 2 while maintaining the industry-leading holographic density of 47 pixels per degree of sight. Xbox Live SDK for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC cross-platform gaming to be announced at GDC 2019

At GDC 2019, Microsoft is set to debut a new cross-platform development with a goal of bringing Xbox Live support to games on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, in addition to PC and Xbox consoles. The company currently has a few games with Xbox Live support across mobile devices, most notably via Minecraft, which requires an Xbox Live login on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.

Microsoft reports $32.5 billion revenue with 12% YoY growth in Q4 2018, LinkedIn revenue up 29%

Microsoft has announced final quarter results that ended on 31st December 2018. When compared to the last fiscal year, the revenue is increased by 12% resulting in $32.5 billion, operating income is $10.3 billion with an increase of 18%, the net income was $8.4 billion, and the diluted earnings per share were $1.08 GAAP and $1.10 non-GAAP%. Microsoft Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 with 8th Gen Intel Core processors launched in India

Microsoft has launched Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 in India. The Surface Pro 6 is powered by Intel 8th Gen Quad Core processors, while other specifications are similar to the Surface Pro 5. The Surface Laptop 2 is powered by Intel 8th Gen Quad Core Processors, promises up to 14.5 hours of video playback and faster and quieter typing.

Cortana won’t challenge Alexa and Google Assistant, says Microsoft CEO

It’s no secret that Microsoft’s Cortana digital assistant has fallen behind Google Assistant and Alexa, and it looks like Microsoft is taking a different route. The company’s CEO Satya Nadella revealed that Microsoft no longer sees Cortana as a competitor to Alexa or Google Assistant. “Cortana needs to be that skill for anybody who’s a Microsoft 365 subscriber,” explains Nadella. LG partners with Microsoft for autonomous vehicle and infotainment tech

LG Electronics has announced that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft to enhance and further grow LG’s autonomous vehicle and infotainment system business. Under this agreement, LG will accelerate the transformation of its existing digital platform for the vehicle industry, by leveraging Microsoft’s Azure cloud and artificial intelligence technologies along with LG’s future self-driving software.
