Microsoft to end support for Windows 8.1 from January 2023

Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 operating system, which was released in 2013, will no longer receive Extended Security Updates (ESUs) beginning early next year, on January 10th, 2023, according to the company’s support article. Microsoft has announced the general availability of their new security app called Microsoft Defender for individuals. It is the newest offering in their family of Microsoft Defender and Microsoft 365 solutions, and it extends upon the protections built into Windows Security. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is officially retiring today

Microsoft is officially retiring its famous Internet Explorer browser, which debuted in 1995 alongside the Windows 95 operating system. People who used computers on a regular basis in the 1990s and early 2000s, whether at home, at school, or at work, are likely to feel nostalgic about Internet Explorer. Xbox & Bethesda Games unveil 30 new titles coming over the next year

Microsoft held their Xbox & Bethesda Games showcase event yesterday. During the event, the two companies unveiled more than 30 titles that will be arriving to Game Pass over the next 12 months. Xbox app for Samsung Smart TVs will let you play over 100 games without a console

Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2 with 12.4-inch touchscreen, 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor announced

Microsoft has announced the Surface Laptop Go 2 as the successor to last year’s model. It features a 12.4-inch touchscreen PixelSense Display, comes with 10th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of SSD storage. There is no 64GB eMMC version that was available with the Surface Laptop Go since it has been replaced by 128GB SSD model.
