ACT Fibernet, the popular wired broadband Internet Service Provider in India launched ACT Stream TV 4K Android TV Box earlier this year. Expanding their services, the company provided free public WiFi during IPL matches and has been providing free public WiFi at malls in Hyderabad. Now, the latest in the list is Chennai city and ACT Fibernet has started rolling out public WiFi hotspots in partnership with Greater Chennai Corporation.

MIUI 11 aims to bring a brand new optimized modern UI design focused on content viewing and has along with nifty additions designed specifically for India. The company has already rolled out MIUI 11 to most of the devices including Redmi K20 series, Redmi Note 7 series, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi 6 series, Redmi Note 5 Pro, and others and has already started testing MIUI Stable Beta for the second and third batch of devices. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 smartphone in India back in February running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie) and launched the updated Redmi Note 7S with 48 MP rear camera back in May running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). Xiaomi doesn’t follow any fixed update frequency for the MIUI Global Stable ROM but on average, the Global Stable ROM is updated once in 30-60 days.

Now, the company has started rolling out MIUI 11 Global Stable update to Redmi Note 4 users in India. The new update comes as MIUI 18.104.22.168.NCFMIXM and weighs around 458 MBs in size. Xiaomi has not updated the Android Security patch on the device and it still runs on almost a year old December 2018 patch. MIUI 11 brings new features such as New Minimalistic Design, Blur App Previews, Quick Replies, New Dynamic Sound Effects, Floating Calculator, Updated Mi File Manager, and more to the device, but we found the new file-sharing tech Mi Share missing on our unit.
If you haven’t received the update on your device, you can download the Recovery ROM here and try flashing it using the recovery method but it may not work as it might be staged rollout.
