HUAWEI has introduced its new MatePad 11 in China, after the MatePad Pro 12.6 and MatePad Pro 10.8 were unveiled last month. Lenovo at its MWC 2021 virtual event, introduced the Yoga Tab 13 and Yoga Tab 11 convertible tablets with different modes as well as the Tab P11 Plus, Tab M7 (3rd Gen) and the Tab M8 (3rd Gen). The Yoga Tab 13 was introduced in China last month as Yoga Pad Pro that comes with a side grip and stainless steel bracket on the back to hang it or make it stand without the need of any accessory. Update: Samsung has confirmed the launch of Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite in India on June 18th, and the tablets will go on sale on June 23rd. Both these were introduced last month. The Tab S7 FE features a 12.4-inch WQXGA display with 60Hz refresh rate, is powered by Snapdragon 750G SoC, features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, has S Pen support with ultra-low latency and magnetic attachment. It packs an 8.7-inch WXGA+ TFT LCD screen, is powered by an Octa-core SoC which should be an MediaTek Helio P22T SoC paired with up to 4GB RAM, 8MP autofocus rear camera and a 2MP front camera. During Q1, 2021, the worldwide tablet shipments was recorded at 39.9 million units, which calculates to a growth of 55.2% YoY. Lenovo today launched the Tab P11 Pro, the company’s latest top-end tablet in the P series in India after it was introduced back in September last year. It has an 11.5-inch 2K OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600, that supports both HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Enhancing the media viewing experience are four JBL speakers with 2.5cc chambers and support for Dolby Atmos. It features 13 MP Auto-Focus + 5MP 120° dual rear cameras, 8MP dual front cameras for real-time background blur along with a ToF sensor for face unlock. In a report by Canalys, worldwide PC shipments, which include tablet shipments, has reached 458.2 million units during 2020, which calculates to a growth of 17% YoY. During the 4th quarter alone, the market shipped 143.7 million units, which is a growth of 35% YoY. Leading the market is Lenovo, followed by Apple, HP, Dell, and Samsung.
