Intex Aqua T2 India’s cheapest Android 4.4 smartphone launched for Rs. 2699

Intex has launched the Aqua T2, the latest smartphone in the Aqua series. Intex says that this is the cheapest smartphone running Android 4.4 (KitKat) in India. The company launched the Aqua 4X last week, which is one of the cheapest smartphones in the country with 4-inch display, 3G connectivity and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Aqua T2 has a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, has a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. New Motorola Moto X in Black Leather, Bamboo White and Black listed on Flipkart

Motorola introduced the new Moto X earlier this month and announced that it would go on sale on Flipkart later this month. The smartphone has been listed on Flipkart in three variant, standard Black, Bamboo White and Black Leather. The company introduced the Moto X in India earlier this year, but the Bamboo variant has was launched couple of months after these were launched. Spice Dream UNO Mi-498 Benchmarks

Spice launched the Dream UNO Mi-498, the company’s first Android One smartphone yesterday. We already brought you the unboxing and the first impressions of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with ARM Cortex A7 cores and Mali 400 GPU, has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime with 5MP front-facing camera surfaces

Live images of Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (SM-G530H), the company’s selfie-focused smartphone has surfaced on a Vietnamese website Thegioididong. According to the leak, the mid-range smartphone would feature a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing better selfies. It would also have an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. HTC could announce the Nexus 9 during the October 8th event

A lot a manufacturers schedule their events around the IFA that happens during this time of the year, but often not during the event is happening. This is a ploy that they employ so that their devices get due exposure.

Speaking of exposure, HTC has an event for October 8th, titled ‘double exposure’. Now that could mean anything in the world, but thanks to HTC being a smart devices maker, we have a limited list to choose from. The event is believed to be coincident with the announcement of the HTC Eye smartphone, the one that’s expected to feature a 5.2-inch display and a Snapdragon 801 processor. Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders top 4 million in first 24 hours

Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that were unveiled last week went on pre-order on September 12th in US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico and Singapore. Apple just announced that both these smartphones received four million pre-order in the first 24 hours. The iPhone 5 that was released back in September 2012 saw only 2 million pre-orders in the first 24 hours. Sony has launched the Xperia E3 and Xperia E3 Dual, the company’s latest smartphones in the E series. Both these smartphones were unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this month and come with a 4.5-inch FWVGA touch screen display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Spice Dream UNO Android One Phone Unboxing and First Impressions

It’s Android One day today and we’ve got one of the first smartphones from the program with us, the Spice Dream UNO. Spice was one of the three manufacturers chosen for the program announced at the Google’s IO conference back in June. The Indian manufacturer, along with fellow competitors Micromax and Karbonn, has launched its first Android One device today, with a lot of support from Google. The Dream UNO, which is based off a strict chassis mandated by Google has its chipset powered by MediaTek and has almost the same specifications as the other phones that launched today. Priced at Rs. 6,299, the Dream Uno fulfills the idea of Android One, an affordable high quality device with stock Android that’s set to receive updates as fast as Google delivers them, so how is the device?
