Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Benchmarks: How good is this compared to Snapdragon 888 / 888 Plus?

Qualcomm introduced its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile platform at its Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021 last week. The latest flagship SoC has a Kryo Prime Arm Cortex-X2-based CPU at up to 3.0GHz, 3 x Kryo  Performance A710-based CPUs at up to 2.50GHz and 4x Kryo Efficiency A510-based CPUs at up to 1.8GHz. It is fabricated using the Samsung 4nm Process Technology. We got to check out the smartphone at the event, and here are the official benchmark scores. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Benchmarks: How fast is this compared to Snapdragon 855 Plus?

Qualcomm introduced its flagship Snapdragon 865 Mobile platform at its Snapdragon Tech Summit 2019 earlier this month. The latest flagship SoC finally moves from A76 to A77-based Kryo 585 cores arranged in a tri-cluster architecture that includes one Kryo 585 Prime A77-based CPU clocked at up to 2.84GHz, three Kryo 585 Performance A77-based CPUs clocked at up to 2.42GHz and the other four Kryo 585 Efficiency A55-based CPUs are clocked at up to 1.80GHz. Xiaomi under Redmi launched its Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone last week. We already brought you the unboxing and camera samples, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G90T 12nm processor with 2 x Cortex-A76 CPUs at up to 2.05GHz for performance and 6x Cortex-A55 GPUs at up to 2GHz  and has ARM Mali G76 3EEMC4 at 800MHz, 8GB 2133MHz LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.0 storage. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 in India last month starting Rs 9,999, powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 64-bit 14nm mobile platform based on FinFET technology with Adreno 512 GPU that has support for Open GL ES 3.2, Open CL 2.0, Vulkan graphics and Hexagon 680 DSP that includes Hexagon Vector extensions (HVX), designed to support Caffe2 and Tensorflow for machine learning and image processing using the Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine SDK. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Benchmarks – Snapdragon 675 11nm Mobile Platform

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India last week starting at Rs. 13,999. We already brought you the first impressions and the camera samples, here we have the benchmarks.  The phone is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 64-bit 11nm Mobile Platform that has two Cortex A76-based Kryo 460 CPUs clocked at 2GHz per core and other six Cortex A55 Kryo 460 CPUs are clocked at 1.7GHz per core, comes with Adreno 612 GPU with support for Open GL ES 3.2, Open CL 2.0, as well as Vulkan graphics and up to 6GB of RAM, however we have the 4GB RAM version. Samsung Galaxy M20 Benchmarks – Exynos 7 Series 7904 Octa-Core processor

This week Samsung launched the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones in India. Even though we are already familar with the Exynos 7870 powering the M10 since it was introduced way back in 2016 and already powers the Samsung Galaxy J6, On Nxt and several smartphone, the new Exynos 7904 octa-core 14nm processor in the Galaxy M20 is new. Honor 8C Benchmarks and Gaming

Huawei’s Honor brand today launched the Honor 8C smartphone in India today. We already brought you the unboxing and first impressions of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks and gaming performance video. The phone is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 632 14nm SoC that has Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 250 (A73-based) Performance + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 250 (A53-based) Efficiency CPUs, better than the Snapdragon 630, however it has Adreno 506 GPU, same as Snapdragon 625 and 450 SoCs. It comes with 4GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) Benchmarks

Samsung launched the Galaxy A9 2018, world’s first smartphone with quad rear cameras in India last week. We already brought you the unboxing, here we have the benchmarks.  The phone is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 64-bit 14nm Mobile Platform that has four Kryo 260 CPUs clocked at 2.2GHz per core and other four Kryo 260 CPUs are clocked at 1.8GHz per core, comes with Adreno 512 GPU and has 6GB of RAM, however it also comes in 8GB RAM version. It runs Android 8.1 (Oreo). Check out the synthetic benchmark scores.
