Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Preview

At the Mobile Benchmarking Workshop here in San Francisco , Qualcomm showed off it’s next generation Quadcore mobile processor – the Snapdragon S4 Pro (APQ 8064) .  And guess what Qualcomm just did not make just a boring announcement about a chipset and that the devices using the chip will be in the market later this year. But , Qualcomm let us use a tablet (prototype obviously ) which uses the new quadcore chip with 4 Krait cores along with the new Adreno 320 GPU. Exclusive : LG Optimus Vu coming to India later this year

LG India today confirmed to FoneArena at the LG Bloggers Meet today that the Optimus Vu is indeed coming to India later this year. The Optimus Vu is a 5-inch phone from LG which puts it in the same league as the Samsung Galaxy Note. The screen is one of the main highlights of the device and it packs a 1024x768px resolution. The phone packs 32GB of inbuilt storage and utilizes a microSIM card slot. It also comes with a capacitive stylus.

Hands-on with LG Optimus L5 In India

 

LG Mobile is being quite aggressive this year when it comes to launching attractive Android smartphones running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. LG Mobile has announced three international models running on ICS apart from a few Gingerbread running devices at MWC 2012. HTC reports 58% drop in profit for Q2 2012

Things don’t look very good for smartphone maker HTC which has declared a pretty steep drop in profit compared to the same period last year when it posted record profit. Profit for Q2 2012 stood at NT$7.4 billion versus NT$17.5 billion profit in Q2 2011. That is a drop of about 57.7% in profit – ouch ! Although we are a big fan of the HTC One series mainly the One X and One S, looks like it’s not doing so well in the market. Seems like Samsung is dominating the Android phone market.

Motorola RAZR MAXX Unboxing

Is battery life a problem on your android phone ? Well it’s a problem with most smartphones today and Android phones are the worst affected. What’s awesome about the Motorola RAZR MAXX is that it packs a massive 3300 mAh battery.  Moto promises about 17.6 hours of talk time on this handset which is almost twice the talk time on the RAZR. LG Optimus 3D Max Unboxing

Here is the FoneArena unboxing of the LG Optimus 3D Max which has been launched in India recently . The Optimus 3D Max is a much improved version of the original Optimus 3D phone which was bulky. LG Optimus 4X HD Unboxing

Here we have the first quad core phone from LG and it is the LG Optimus 4X HD which is powered by a 1.5 GHz Quadcore NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and packs an 4.7 inch IPS display. The phone has been launched in some countries in Europe   .  We have managed to get our hands on the White edition.The first thing you notice once your power on the phone is the awesome IPS screen which produces crisp images.

Idea ID-918 Dual SIM 3G Smartphone Hands-on and Unboxing
