At Ather Community Day 2026, Ather Energy officially unveiled its newest electric scooter, the Ather Konarc. Built on Ather’s new modular EL platform.
Starting at an aggressive introductory price of Rs. 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the Konarc marks several firsts for Ather—including a steel unibody metal body, 14-inch front wheels, combined charging technology, and innovative rider-assist features.

Chassis, Ergonomics & Ride Quality
- Steel Unibody Chassis (Metal Body): Ather has moved to a metal body construction to provide better ruggedness and road confidence.
- Class-Leading Wheels: Large 14-inch front alloy wheel (90/90-14) paired with a 12-inch rear wheel (100/90-12) to glide effortlessly over deep potholes and uneven roads.
- Suspension: Long-travel setup featuring 90 mm front travel and a plush 100 mm rear suspension stroke.
- Wheelbase: 1,352 mm for maximum high-speed stability.
- Braking: 220 mm front disc on S variants (drum on 100 km) with a 130 mm rear drum. It introduces Ather’s indigenous AEBS (Advanced Electronic Braking System) that combines mechanical and electronic braking without physical ABS actuators to reduce stopping distances and prevent wheel lockups.
Charging Innovations & Bedrock Battery
- Onboard Charger: Comes standard with a built-in 450W onboard charger so riders only need to carry a standard cable rather than a bulky charging brick.
- Combined Charging Architecture: Riders can plug in an external portable charger alongside the onboard unit for up to 900W+ home charging speeds.
- Ather Grid Fast Charging: Speeds up to 15 km in 10 minutes at over 6,000 public fast chargers.
- Bedrock Battery & 10-Year Warranty: The new IP67-rated battery packs feature 5x faster active cell balancing and BreachSense (damage detection in under 24 hours). It is backed by an extended 10-year / 100,000 km battery warranty option.
Smart Features & Convenience
- Display: 7-inch DeepView™ display on S variants (4.2-inch on the base variant).
- Magic Key (Keyless System): Includes Smart Wake upon lifting the side stand, walk-away auto-lock, and proximity-based motor arming. It can also start offline via code from the app or receive emergency induction power directly from the scooter seat.
- Boot with AutoPop: 31-litre underseat storage that pops open automatically via a keyfob button or an underseat touch switch.
- AirWalk Assist: Sensor-assisted push/pull system that gently powers the motor to make tight parking and walking the scooter effortless.
- Pillion Comfort & Center Stand: Features a cushioned grab rail, an optional tall LoungeBack pillion backrest, and an integrated center stand.
- Ather True Health: A detailed digital component health and degradation scorecard on the Ather app, offering transparent resale value estimates and real-time wear reports.
