Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 aims to elevate the mobile experience

Qualcomm had announced the Snapdragon 710 platform built on the 10nm process last month in China. Qualcomm AI Engine with support for existing Snapdragon mobile platforms announced

Qualcomm today announced the new Artificial Intelligence engine consisting of several hardware and software components to accelerate on-device AI-enabled user experiences. The new AI engine will be supported on Snapdragon 845, 835, 820 and 660 mobile platforms, and the latest Snapdragon 845 with on-device AI processing. Lenovo Miix 630 Hands On

Lenovo has partnered with Qualcomm and Microsoft to launch a Snapdragon powered Always Connected PC – Miix 630 at CES 2018.  HP and Asus launched their products in December last year at the Snapdragon Summit.  I got my hands on the Miix 630 2-1 detachable and it is a pretty nice effort by Lenovo.

LG G5 supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 but Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge don’t

Earlier, it was expected that if you pack the latest processor from Qualcomm, it would in effect be able to have the fast charging properties of the particular processor. However, the OnePlus 2 showed that it is possible to remove the fast charging abilities if needed.  Similarly, now it seems that Samsung have bundled only QuickCharge 2.0 with their Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge while LG’s G5 is capable of doing QuickCharge 3.0.
