Apple has started rolling out carrier billing for iTunes and App Store in Germany with carrier O2.  Customers can now link a phone number to their iTunes account and use carrier billing for purchases, as per a report from TechCrunch.

Samsung might not launch an Edge variant with the Galaxy Note 5 this year

Samsung normally unveil the latest Galaxy Note smartphone every year at IFA in Berlin and last year along with the Note 4, they also launched the Note Edge. The Edge formula has been a success for Samsung which they even followed up with the S6 and S6 Edge. However new reports state that Samsung won’t be announcing an Edge variant of the Note 5 when it launches this year.

Germany has become a battle ground when it comes to patent cases between top mobile device manufacturing companies. In a recent patent infringement case filed against Motorola by Microsoft which revolves around an application running on various devices, Microsoft lost to Motorola. This news made me a bit happy and surprised as this is Motorola’s first lawsuit they have won in the recent years.

Google+ for Windows Phone in the works

Google+ was launched by Google last year, now it has around 90 million people registered on it, and its apps are available on both Android and iOS, though the Android version has more set of features. Google had earlier said that they are working on Google+ application for all the major operating systems including Blackberry O.S. HTC smartphones might get banned in Germany

A previous infringement judgment might be dawned on HTC by patent licensing bureau IPCom, and the label might not be able to sell its product in Germany, in the upcoming holiday season. The ruling was factually made when just as a Mannheim court stated that HTC was imposing a vital mobile telephony patent that was obtained from Bosch, three years ago.
