FoneArena is live in Berlin , Germany for IFA which is one of the largest technology shows of the world. Sony is holding a press conference later today where the company is expected to announce the much rumored Honami / XPERIA Z1 smartphone and a couple of very interesting lenses. Much is already known about the Sony Z1 and it is said to pack in a Snapdragon 800 processor with a very interesting 20MP camera. The design is believed to be a play on that of the Xperia Z and Z Ultra.

Sony has officially announced that they are investigating future Android OS upgrades for all devices including 2011 Xperia smartphones. John Cooper, Product Manager of Sony UK who attended an online Q&A session on Facebook last week said that XPERIA Arc S and the XPERIA mini Pro would not be upgraded to Jelly Bean. Sony announced that they would roll out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for 2011 Xperia devices starting March end , but the update is now delayed and is being pushed to mid-April. Sony Mobile has released Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) beta ROM for unlocked Xperia PLAY smartphones. They released ICS beta ROM for Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray last month. They have also announced they work close with several game partners to optimize the games to run on the latest Android 4.0 software. Sony has released Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) beta ROM for select Xperia smartphones. They launched they alpha ROM as a preview last December, but this beta version brings a lot of improvements including functioning FM radio and GSM Radios. Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro has seen a price drop in India, which is now available for Rs. 19,999. The Xperia Pro is a QWERTY slider phone which was unveiled at MWC 2011 earlier this year and Sony Ericsson launched the Xperia Pro in India last October for Rs. 24,000. It features a 3.7 inch (854 x 480 Pixels) touchscreen display and full slide out QWERTY keypad. It packs a 8.1 MP camera with LED Flash and secondary VGA camera on the back. Sony Ericsson has launched the Live with Walkman in India. This is the successor of the Walkman W8 and Mix Walkman and features dedicated Walkman hardware button and it also comes with . It has 3.2-inch (320 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
