Android 4.1 Jelly Bean release date set for mid July for Galaxy Nexus , Nexus S and Motorola Xoom


Google has announced the next version of Android known as Jelly Bean with the version number 4.1. The first devices to get this update will the the Samsung Galaxy Nexus , Samsung Nexus S and the Motorola Xoom WiFi Tablet.

The update will be available through OTA ( Over The Air) in the middle of July which is about 3 weeks away. It is not very surprising to the see the Galaxy Nexus get the Jelly Bean update but it is kinda shocking to see that the Nexus S will be getting the update as well. Google claims that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is the fastest and smoothest version of Android so far. It packs tons of new features including a smoother UI and revamped notifications area.
