HTC Desire C images and specs surface

HTC Desire C press shots and specifications has surfaced one that Vodafone Portugal posted accidentally before the official announcement. According to the press images that GSMArena managed to grab from the site, the phone would feature a 3.5-inch ( 320×480 pixels) display and 600MHz processor. Nokia launches patent suit against HTC, RIM and Viewsonic

In the latest twist in the never ending saga that is mobile patent lawsuits, Nokia has today filed suit against HTC, RIM and Viewsonic alleging that their products infringe a number of Nokia patents. The claims were filed in United States and Germany, and includes complaints to the US International Trade Commission (ITC). Nokia has alleged that up to 45 patents were infringed upon. Nokia is no stranger to patent disputes, launching a similar claim against Apple a couple of years ago. The legal challenge, which resulted in a counterclaim by Apple, was settled outside the court with the house that Steve build settling an one-off payment while agreeing a cross licensing deal. HTC is also currently embroiled in a legal dispute with Apple over alleged infringements over unlicensed patents.

HTC One X now getting 1.28.720.10 OTA update in India

Today when I was playing around with the HTC One X , an OTA update popped up on the screen. This is the 1.28.720.10 update which was rolled out in Europe recently. This update is expected to fix the battery life woes of the Quad Core phone which is by far the best Android device money can buy at this point of time. HTC One S Unboxing

Here is quick unboxing of the HTC One S which went on sale in Europe recently. It is expected to come to India at a later date. The HTC One S is a Dual Core phone and was announced at MWC 2012 earlier this year  and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor an runs on the latest version Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Of course I had to take the white one, and what can I say, this device is simply stunning! I’m using it for a little more than a week now, and it still continues to impress me. HTC to stop bundling Beats headphones

As part of its ongoing efforts to increase sales and combat dropping revenues , HTC plans to stop bundling in Beats headphones with their a majority of their handsets. According to HTC , users were not buying the phones specifically for the Beats headphones and that resulted in unnecessarily increasing handset prices compared to competitors.

HTC One X Unboxing Pics and Video

The HTC One X is now available in India at an MRP of Rs.42999 ouch and you can grab one at a store for much lesser at around Rs.37000 according to few shops who are stocking the handset. The HTC One X is the first Quad Core phone to launch in India and it is also the first phone to launch in India running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (Samsung Galaxy Nexus is still not officially launched). The retail package is not similar to the ones we saw in France but slightly different. Take a look at the unboxing video below.

HTC to shut down cloud services, asks users to download stored data

HTC has many new plans this year, one of their plan is to concentrate on less devices and make their Sense platform better, just a while back HTC Sense customers received a mail saying that their cloud services like Contacts, messages, Footprints and call history will be shut down and made offline. The heading says that they are not actually shutting the service down but renovating their cloud service or HTCSense.com.

Reports have emerged which suggest that Beats might be about to outright buy the MOG music subscription service. HTC owns a controlling stake in the headphone manufacturing company (Beats) after they put $300 million in the company last year.

HTC partners with LogMeIn to fix your Android phone remotely

HTC has partnered with LogMeIn to offer a remote rescue software on all its future Android devices including the newly announced One series. As part of the agreement LogMeIn will provide HTC call centers worldwide with software which can connect to a remote Android phone allowing customer care representatives to diagnose the problem. A constant data connection will enable a remote HTC phone to diagnosed and fixed from anywhere in the world.
