HTC has started the roll out of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in some markets including UK. We had access to a UK unit and a massive 600 MB update showed up via OTA today. The update bears the version number 3.16.401.8 and measures 612.27 MB.We decided to give it a go and it was the much awaited jelly bean update. HTC has officially launched the One S in India. It was announced the One S at MWC 2012 and it went on sale in India from online retailers earlier this week. It has 4.3-inch (540×960 pixels) AMOLED display, 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor, 8MP auto focus camera with flash, 1080p HD video recording and VGA front-facing. It runs on Android 4.0 ICS with HTC Sense 4 UI. The HTC One S which is the younger sibling of the HTC One X might eventually launch India. The Qualcomm powered Android phone has got priced at Rs.33000 on TheMobileStore as spotted by folks at InstallorNot.I personally prefer the One S over the One X and I would call the One S the iPhone of the Android world. The handset has got a release date of 8th June on the retailer’s website.

It was a good day for HTC this monday at Mobile World Congress, with the introduction of the One series of flagship devices. The HTC One S, this ultra-slim, 7,8mm Android device is the little brother of the One X, but that doesn’t mean Android fans will be getting less bang for their buck.
So finally the day we were waiting for is here, HTC will showcase its new devices in some hours today, but the HTC Elavate members were already given a taste of what is going to be showcased by the Taiwanese company today.
ITProPortal.com have managed to get their hands on the upcoming HTC One S which is expected to be unveiled today at MWC. Previously known as the HTC Ville , the One S is a mid range handset with a 4.3″ screen , 8MP camera.
HTC plans to use a microSIM with the handset. The specifications for the handset have been previously leaked and include a dual core1.5GHz chipset, with Dr Dre Beats Audio technology on-board and HTC Sense 4.0 UI on top of Android 4.0 .
