microSD Express will offer hyper-fast data speeds of up to 985MBps for mobile devices

Today at the MWC 2019, the SD Association announced microSD Express, offering the popular PCI Express and NVMe interfaces alongside the microSD interface for backwards compatibility. Just like SD Express, microSD Express uses the PCIe interface delivering a 985 megabytes per second (MB/s) maximum data transfer rate and the NVMe upper layer protocol enables advanced memory access mechanism, enabling a new world of opportunities for mobile devices. OnePlus 5G Prototype Smartphone powered by Snapdragon 855, Snapdragon X50 5G modem showcased at MWC 2019

OnePlus has showcased its first  Prototype Smartphone powered by Snapdragon 855 at the MWC, as it had promised.  OnePlus said that it has been using the latest Snapdragon 8 series Mobile Platforms since the release of the OnePlus One. The Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform combined with the Snapdragon X50 5G modem and Qualcomm RF Front-End solutions to power the phone.

Google has announced that it is rolling out Smart Reply for Messages app in Spanish and is also sharing new features coming to the app. In the coming months, Google will bring Assistant integration within Messages for English across the globe. The app uses on-device AI to offer suggestion chips relevant to your conversation.

Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus with 6-inch and 6.5-inch 21:9 Wide Full HD+ display, dual rear cameras, Android Pie announced

Sony Mobile has announced Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus, the company’s latest mid-range smartphones at its MWC event in Barcelona. Both the phones have 6-inch and 6.5-inch 21:9 Wide Full HD+ displays with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, respectively. The Xperia 10 is powered by Snapdragon 630, and the 10 Plus is powered by Snapdragon 636.  Both run Android 9.0 (Pie), feature  dual rear cameras –   Xperia 10 (13MP+5MP) and Xperia 10 Plus (12MP+8MP), and the Xperia 10 Plus comes with 2X optical zoom for Images.

Qualcomm introduces 5G Reference design for Sub-6 GHz and mmWave fixed wireless broadband

Qualcomm at the MWC 2019 has announced the Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platform with 5G integrated into a System-on-Chip (SoC) which is based on the Snapdragon X50 and X55 5G modems and RF front-end (RFFE) solutions. It also announced its first 5G customer premise equipment (CPE) reference design for sub-6 GHz and millimeter wave (mmWave) 5G fixed wireless broadband (FWB) products. Sony Xperia L3 with 5.7-inch HD+ display, Helio P22, dual-rear cameras announced

Sony at the MWC 2019 event apart from Xperia 1 flagship and Xperia 10 line-up, has also introduced the Xperia L3 smartphone. The phone packs a 5.7-inches HD+ display and has the dual rear camera setup with 13MP and 2MP sensors. Unlike the Xperia 1, and Xperia 10, the L3 packs a traditional 18:9 aspect ratio display.

SanDisk Extreme 1TB UHS-I microSD card announced

Lasrt year Western Digital Corporation introduced SanDisk Extreme 400GB microSDXC world’s fastest UHS-I microSD card offering 160MB/s  read speed. Today at the MWC, it has introduced 1TB version of it along with the 512GB variant. This is also the highest capacity microSD cards in the world. Another company, Micron also introduced c200 1TB microSD card today, but it delivers only up to 100MB per second read speed even though its write speed is 95 MB/s.
