Xiaomi Mi Max 3 with 6.9-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 636, 6GB RAM, AI dual rear cameras, 5500mAh battery announced

Xiaomi just announced Mi Max 3, the latest smartphone in the Mi Max series in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.9-inch FHD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with 1.3mm slim bezels on the sides, is powered by Snapdragon 636 with up to 6GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI on top, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual PD focus along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for AI and has AI features for the camera that can detect 206 scenes, comes with AI voice assistant, and there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with support for face unlock. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 specs confirmed – 6.9-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 636, 6GB RAM, AI dual rear cameras, 5500mAh battery; price hinted

Last week Xiaomi confirmed that it will unveil the Mi Max 3 smartphone in China on July 19th. Yesterday, Xiaomi co-founder and President Bin Lin shared images of the smartphone in Blue Black and Gold colors. Today the company has posted the detailed specifications of the smartphone. All these coincide with earlier rumors. The company also revealed AI features for the camera that can detect 206 scenes, AI voice assistant, AI face unlock and more. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 with 6.9-inch FHD+ display, 5500mAh battery teased in images ahead of July 19 announcement

Last week Xiaomi confirmed that it will unveil the Mi Max 3 smartphone in China on July 19th. Today Xiaomi co-founder and President Bin Lin has shared images of the smartphone in Blue Black and Gold colors. He said that even though the phone has a large 6.9-inch screen, the phone doesn’t feel big in hand. He also said that the 5500mAh battery will offer long battery life.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Android One smartphone confirmed to be announced alongside Mi A2 on July 24

Last week Xiaomi sent out invites for the global launch of a new smartphone in Spain on July 24th. Yesterday the company started teasing the launch of the successor of Mi A1 smartphone. Today, the company said that it will be launching two smartphones at the event, as expected. The second smartphone that will join the Mi A2 will be the Mi A2 Lite, the global version of the Redmi 6 Pro which was introduced last month, and even passed through the FCC  recently. Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 8.1 update resumes with July 2018 Android security patch, SMS issue fix

Xiaomi Mi A1 finally got stable Android 8.1 (Oreo) update for last month, but it was pulled quickly after users started complaining about the SMS bug that wipes entire SMS history after updating. After testing a beta ROM earlier this month, Xiaomi today has started rolling out a new update for the Mi A1 A1 userse to fix the issue. Xiaomi has introduced new Quartz Watch under its Mijia or Mi Ecosystem. It is a hybrid smartwatch that comes with a standard 40 mm dial that is just 3.2 mm at its thinnest point. The small dial shows step count and connects to Android or iPhone over Bluetooth. Call notification, Reminder and Alarm with vibration. It has a stainless steel case, water-resistant body and a curved back.

Yesterday Xiaomi sent out invites for the global launch of a new smartphone in Spain on July 24th where it is expected to introduce global version of the Mi 6X which was introduced  back in April. Now the smartphone has surfaced on a online retail site in Portugal along with the Mi A2 Lite, which should be the global version of the Redmi 6 Pro which was introduced last month, and even passed through the FCC  recently.

Xiaomi shares open for trade in Hong Kong below IPO price but it is confident about the future

Shares of Xiaomi opened for trade today under the stock code 1810 at IPO price of HK$ 17 per share, which was in the lower range, but it opened at HK$ 16.60 less than the IPO price, and later dropped to HK$ 16.30. The company last month expected the offer price range to be between HK$17 and HK$22 per share in an aim to raise anywhere between US$ 4.72 billion and US$ 6.1 billion with a valuation between 54.3 billion and 70.3 billion.
