All the latest devices which are coming to the market
Seems like everyone is joining in on the candy bar QWERTY touchscreen design. First was the Nokia E6-00 then the Samsung Galaxy Pro and more recently the LG Optimus Pro. Now Motorola have announced the Motorola XT316 which is based on the same form factor.
We are lucky to get our hands on the LG Optimus 3D which is the world’s first 3D phone and the world’s first 3D smartphone. The 3D experience does not require you to wear 3D glasses as the phone packs a glassless/glassfree 3D display. You can also capture 3D Video footage and pictures talks to the 3D Stereoscopic camera on the back.The phone was announced this year at Mobile World Congress and the unit we are currently playing with looks a lot more stable and polished. Android is pretty big an eco-system and as an OS it has seen tremendous growth. The recent reports clearly show that Android is the one that is growing, thriving and completely dominating. Android from Google also is responsible for the rise of many new, small, hitherto unknown manufacturers coming into the game. It’s also been responsible for the re-emergence of Sony Ericsson and Motorola. It’s no wonder that today it’s pretty much the OS of choice for developers and users.
India has seen a positive adoption rate for Android. Many Indian brands have introduced Android smartphones at entry levels that have completely changed the way we look at mobile phones. Spice has been quite gung-ho on Android, launching many devices on the platform. It’s no wonder that today it has one of the largest Android portfolios amongst Indian brands. In fact their latest endeavour puts them squarely in the territory of big boys. It looks like Samsung is on a roll and giving out updates for their devices on a really fast pace. This time it’s an update for the popular Samsung Galaxy S 2 which has been selling like hot cakes, even though it has not been released in the U.S yet. Good news for the SGS2 users, Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) was leaked for their device bringing the latest gtalk with video calling. Apart from the latest gTalk, the new update will also include better power management which is said to decrease the battery consumption.

I have had a Nokia E6 in my hands for a couple of days now, and while that isn’t enough to fully explore every aspect of the phone, it is enough to grasp the essence behind the Nokia E6, to love it for what it is, to forgive it for what it isn’t, and to enjoy one of the last fine moments of Symbian on a mobile device.

Shipments of this Xperia-branded Android device were delayed by the recent natural disaster in Japan, but now that it’s here we’re pleased to report that it’s been worth the wait. The first Nokia Harmattan / MeeGo device , the Nokia N9 , has been garnering rave reviews everywhere. However there is one more MeeGo phone ie the developer only Nokia N950. Rumor has it that the N950 was supposed to be launched in 2010 as the first MeeGo device but got canned. Nokia has been handing these out to select developers to spurt the development of Qt apps for the N9 as well as the next billion Qt enabled devices.

The device is priced at Rs.20990 MRP and is available for around Rs.19990 in the market. The specialty of the Optimus Black is the 4 inch NOVA IPS LCD Display. The Sensation is HTC’s first Dual Core phone and it’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the LG Optimus 2X. Here is a quick look at Multitasking on the Nokia N9 powered by MeeGo. When you see a preview of all the apps currently running , it shows you the every app’s current state in realtime and not just a screenshot like in some other platforms.
