Byond B63 with 4.5-inch qHD screen, Android 4.1 launched for Rs. 9,999

Indian smartphone manufacturer, Byond, has today launched its latest Android powered smartphone. Called the Byond B63, the phone is powered by a 1.2Ghz dual core processor which we can assume to be a MediaTek chip like in other smartphones in this category. The phone runs Android 4.1.1 Jellybean, which means you get to enjoy Google Now and the benefits of Project Butter. There’s built in Dual SIM support as well which lets you keep two SIM cards in active standby.

NVIDIA introduces Tegra 3 for smartphones with 4-plus-1 quadcore processor

nVIDIA were the first to introduce a quadcore processor to the consumers with the ASUS Transformer Prime, and now it has become first to introduce them on smartphones too. At MWC 2012 which is going on right now, there are many devices which are being powered by nVIDIA’s Tegra 3 Quadcore processor including HTC’s One X, LG Optimus 4X HD, ZTE Era, K-Touch Treasure v8 and Fujitsu’s smartphone.

HTC One S specs leaked before MWC 2012

HTC is going to be one of the headliners to showcase their devices at MWC this year, they will be showcasing the HTC One series of mobile phones and maybe a couple tablets too. We already know about the HTC One X which will be the first quadcore phone running on Tegra 3. There was no news about the other two One S and One V but now due to some benchmarking done in Nenamark we have come to know some specs of the One S.

Tegra 3 chip shortage affects NVIDIA

People have been talking about nVIDIA and Tegra 3 from the beginning of this year, last year they were the first chip manufacturers to bring out dual core chips and now this year they are again the first ones to bring out Quadcores. Though the vision and the chipset architecture is really great there have been some problems in nVIDIA’s camp and we have come to know that there is a shortage and it will affect nVIDA in a big way.

Samsung to begin mass production of Exynos 5250 SoC from Q2 2012

Toshiba announces thinnest Android tablet AT200 at IFA

Many devices are being launched at the IFA, we just saw a parade of new Samsung devices, now it is the time for Toshiba to reveal their Android Honeycomb running tablet AT200. At 7.7 mm thin, this is the thinnest tablet running Android, thinner than Samsung’s Galaxy Tab by 1 mm.
