Samsung recently announced the Galaxy Note8 flagship smartphone with a massive 6.3-inch QHD + Infinity display. Now, according to a new test performed by DisplayMate, the Galaxy Note8 display has surpassed the one on the Galaxy S8 in its testing. The specialist of video screens, stated that Samsung’s latest flagship device is “the most innovative and high performance smartphone display that we have ever lab tested.”

Samsung and LG may not go for 4K displays in 2016

Samsung and LG will not join the race to put 4K displays on the their phones, as per new reports from South Korea. The report citing trusted sources said that both the companies might opt to skip 4K or Ultra HD for their smartphones in 2016.

Sharp develops ultra sharp 4.1 inch LCD display with 736ppi

Sharp has developed a new 4.1” IGZO LCD display with 736 pixels per inch (ppi). According to Sharp, its new display has the same pixel density as a 6-inch 4K display. The highest-resolution LCD panel that the company has so far developed is a low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) panel that has a resolution slightly lower than 550ppi.
