The Nokia N96 launched by the company in India recently will be available across stores from September 16th.

At Rs 35,000 it is an expensive phone but with higher features than iPhone which at Rs 32,000 – 36,000 is not cheap either.

Customers can purchase products and services online. There are several freebies available on the website for customers.
A customer can purchase a handset online and make the payment via debit or credit card. The handsets will be delivered to the customer within 24 – 48 hours and the requisite documents for proof of identity will be collected in person. The connection will get activated post verification. More research is out showing that today’s youth view their mobile phones as an extension of the online lives from their PCs.
The report from In-Stat points out that the generation aged 8 to 27 use their mobile phones to access their social networks wherever they are.
This news is great for companies attempting to bring PC content to mobiles.
As content is pulled to mobile devices, publishers will pay to make sure it arrives in a readable format and quickly enough to satiate user demand, meaning content delivery networks, providers of transcoding services and services that render PC content accessible to mobile phones could benefit. The price of the 3G iPhone stumped those who were eagerly awaiting its launch in India. To counter the ‘non-affordability’ factor doing the rounds among buyers, Vodafone has decided to offer the handset of easy 6 monthly or 12 monthly instalments.
It is rumoured that the company is holding talks with financial institutions to initiate a tie-up.

The latest debate is whether the newly launched Nokia N96 is any competition to the Apple iPhone.
While the two handsets are very competitively priced Nokia will be in the range of Rs 32,000 – 36,000 and iPhone through Vodafone will cost Rs 31,000 and Rs 36,000), we think that Nokia N96 wins hands down. Nokia has a proven ability that makes it the market leader in cell phones. And not without reason. Nokia phones are viewed as “reliable, long lasting and technologically advanced.”
The iPhone on the other hand has a technical saleability, but lacks in features especially in comparison with the N96.
The only major difference between the two handsets we see is the lack of a touch screen in the N96. Else, N96 scores over the iPhone on several counts.
