
Ai+ today launched new smartphones including the Nova 2 5G, which is the successor to last year’s Ai+ Nova 2 5G. Here we have the unboxing and first impressions of the phone.

The phone packs a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 600 nits HBM brightness.
The phone has an 8MP camera inside the notch, an upgrade from 5MP in the predecessor. There is a small bottom bezel.

Powered by the Unisoc T8200 6nm SoC, the same as the predecessor, it has up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. The phone runs Android 16 with nextQ OS on top. It doesn’t have any bloatware, and has NxtPrivacy Dashboard, NxtSafe Space, NxtMove App, and NxtQuantum Community App.
The phone has a power button and the volume rockers on the right side; the dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slot are on the left; the 3.5mm audio jack, microphone, USB Type-C port, and speaker grill are on the bottom. There is nothing on the top.

The phone has a 50MP rear camera along with a secondary camera, LED flash, and supports 4K video recording from the rear camera. Check out some camera samples.

The phone has a glossy finish on the back, which is prone to fingerprints easily. It also comes in purple, green, pink, and blue colors, in addition to black. The phone has IP64 ratings for dust and water resistance.
It packs a 6000mAh battery, up from the 5000mAh battery in the predecessor. It supports up to 18W fast charging but comes with a 10W charger in the box.
Priced starting at Rs. 8,999 for the 4GB + 64GB model, the phone will be available from Flipkart and select offline stores starting from April 14th at 12 noon.
