Vivo’s iQOO brand just announced iQOO Z1 5G the company’s latest 5G smartphone in China as it had promised. It has a 6.57-inch FHD+ 20:9 LCD screen with 90.4% screen-to-body ratio, 144Hz refresh rate (with option to switch between 144, 120 and 90Hz) and houses a 16-megapixel front camera in the punch-hole screen. HUAWEI’s HONOR brand at its HONOR Smart Life event in China yesterday also introduced the HONOR ViewPad V6, the company’s first 5G tablet powered by Kirin 985 SoC. It has 10.4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA+), runs Magic UI 3.1 based on Android 10, has support for Magic-Pencil stylus that supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. HUAWEI has announced HUAWEI P40 lite 5G, the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone for the European market, starting from Italy. It was introduced as Nova 7 SE 5G in China last month. It comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 16-megapixel camera in side the punch-hole, Kirin 820 SoC with 6GB of RAM. The notebook is 16.9mm thick, weighs 1.7 Kgs, features a 16.1-inch Full HD display with 4.9mm narrow bezels and a screen-to-body ratio of 90% same as the predecessor, but this is powered by 10th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 Processor with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. MediaTek just announced Dimensity 820, the company’s latest mid-range SoC and an enhanced version of the Dimensity 800 that was introduced earlier this year. Last week realme confirmed that it will introduce 8 new products including a smartphone at an event in China on May 25th. Later the company confirmed that the phone will be called X50 Pro Player Edition, which is another version of the X50 Pro. Now the phone has been certified by TENAA with the model number RMX2072 revealing the complete specifications, which shows that it will be the cheaper version.

Reliance Jio today announced that General Atlantic, a leading global growth equity firm will invest Rs. 6,598.38 crore in Jio Platforms. This investment values Jio Platforms at an equity value of Rs. 4.91 lakh crore and an enterprise value of Rs. 5.16 lakh crore.
