A year after the introduction of the Honor WaterPlay, its first water-resistant tablet with IP67 ratings, the company has launched a 8-inch version of the tablet. It has a 8-inch WUXGA screen, is powered by Kirin 659 SoC and runs on Android 8.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 8.0 on top. It has stereo speakers with Huawei Histen 5.0 3D audio technology and a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.

Huawei’s Honor Brand, along with the Honor Magic 2 also introduced the Honor Watch Magic smartwatch, which is similar to Huawei Watch GT that was introduced recently, but with a slightly smaller display. It sports a 1.2-inch (390 x 390 pixels) AMOLED color display with 326 PPI pixel density and incorporates a dual-crown design with 9.8mm stainless steel case. It has a heart rate sensor on the back. It is powered by Kirin 980 7nm SoC with Dual NPU and run Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.0 on top as well as YOYO assistant. Huawei introduced EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 (Pie) at the IFA 2018 last month. Earlier this month the company said that EMUI 9.0 will bring local language support, local calendar, deeper integration of Paytm, and more for India users. Huawei’s Honor brand introduced the Honor 8X, successor of the Honor 7X in China last month. The company has started global roll out of the phone from Dubai and Spain yesterday. It has also confirmed that it will launch in India on October 16th at an event in Delhi, after launching in Malaysia, Russia and Czech Republic next week.

Huawei’s Honor brand launched the Honor Play smartphone in India in Midnight Black and Navy Blue colors. Today the company has launched new Ultra Violet color variant in the country. Apart from the color, this has similar specifications, including a 6.3-inch Full HD+ 19:5:9 display with 89% screen-to-body ratio, Kirin 970 10nm processor, NPU as well as GPU Turbo graphics processing acceleration technology, 16-megapixel rear camera AI scene recognition and a 2-megapixel secondary rear camera.

Huawei’s Honor brand is all set to announce the Honor 8C, a new budget smartphone in the Honor 8 series on October 11th in China. The successor of Honor 7C that was introduced earlier this year now has a notch and a larger 6.26-inch screen. It is said to be powered by Snapdragon 636 SoC with 4GB of RAM. On the back there are 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear cameras and there is an 8-megapixel camera on the front, same as the predecessor.
