Update – May 22, 2020: Vivo has shared an image of the phone that confirms quad rear cameras for both the X50 and X50 Pro smartphones with a periscope lens in both. However, only the X50 Pro comes with gimbal-like OIS stabilization. It also shows a single punch-hole screen. The company already confirmed that it will be the first phone to feature the latest 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1.
Reliance Jio today announced that KKR a leading global investment firm will invest Rs. 11,367 crore in Jio Platforms. This investment values Jio Platforms at an equity value of Rs. 4.91 lakh crore and an enterprise value of Rs. 5.16 lakh crore. Xiaomi’s Redmi brand already confirmed that it will introduce the Redmi 10X series in China on May 26th. Now it has confirmed new Redmi X series smart TV with MEMC motion compensation feature to avoid motion blur. Realme just confirmed that it will introduce realme Buds Q, another true wireless earbuds in China on May 25th, after teasing a new TWS earbuds as one of the eight products that will be introduced at the event. As you can see from the image, the earbuds have a pebble-like design, which different from its Apple Airpod-like realme Buds Air and the upcoming Air Neo headsets. Motorola just launched the Moto G8 Power Lite, the company’s latest smartphone in the G8 series in India, as it had promised. It was announced last month and packs a 6.5-inch HD+ Max Vision display, is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 processor with 4GB RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie), features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth cameras and an 8-megapixel front camera. Realme today confirmed that it will launch realme Buds Air Neo, the company’s new True wireless earbuds in India on May 25th along with the realme TV and the realme Watch. This is the cheaper version of the realme Buds Air that was launched back in December, and it got certified by the NCC back in January confirming micro USB charging port for the 400mAh case. Samsung today announced that it has commenced construction of new foundry line in Pyeongtaek, Korea, which will focus on EUV-based 5 nanometer (nm) and below process technology. Samsung said that this will play a pivotal role as the company aims to expand the use of state-of-the-art process technologies across a myriad of current and next generation applications, including 5G, high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI). Apple released iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 with new Memoji stickers, Files app iCloud Folder Sharing, Trackpad Support for iPad and more back in March. Now it has rolled out iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 updates after several beta releases. Apple said that the update will speed up access to the passcode field on devices with Face ID when you are wearing a face mask and introduces an option to control automatic prominence of video tiles on Group FaceTime calls and includes bug fixes and other improvements. LG has announced Q61, the company’s latest smartphone in the Q series in Korea. It was introduced for the global markets as K61 back in February this year. It has a 6.63-inch FHD+ no-notch LCD screen with 92% screen-to-body ratio, 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, is powered by Kirin 820 5G SoC with SA / NSA dual-mode 5, up to 8GB of RAM and has graphene cooling sheet. After teasers iQOO has confirmed that it will introduce the Transformers version of its flagship iQOO 3 5G smartphone in China in limited numbers on June 1st. The company has also shared an image of the back of the smartphone that shows a large Transformers logo and iQOO branding. It also has iQOO’s tag line “Monster Inside” vertically. There is also a carbon fiber texture throughout the back, which should be under the glass. There is also a slight redesign in the camera part to match the look.
