MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC with support for dual 5G SIM cards, up to 144Hz displays announced


MediaTek just announced Dimensity 1000+, the company’s latest flagship SoC and enhanced version of the Dimensity 1000 that was introduced last year.  It has built-in 5G modem with Carrier Aggregation, dual 5G SIM, and MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave power saving technologies that dynamically adjust the modem’s power configuration and operating frequency according to network conditions and user activities to significantly save power.

It has also supports highest 144Hz refresh rate display, which operates 2.4 times faster per second than an ordinary 60Hz display found on many smartphones. Similar to the Dimensity 1000, this also has HyperEngine 2.0 support, which optimizes the whole smartphone for a more fluid and immersive gaming experience.

Dimensity 1000+ also incorporates MediaTek’s latest MiraVision technologies that is designed to improve per frame picture quality.

  • AI-PQ: Using the integrated APU 3.0’s immense processing power, along with MediaTek’s dedicated MiraVision Picture Quality Engine, the Dimensity 10000+ can dynamically adjust per frame contrast, sharpness and color levels, to enhance the picture quality of 4K videos and streams in real time.
  • Better than HDR10+: MiraVision Picture Quality Engine provides real-time, fine-grained frame adjustments to the dynamic range and details of 4K videos and streams, serving up better picture quality than standard HDR10+.
  • SDR to HDR: MiraVision Picture Quality Engine uses a fine-grained technique to enhance the dynamic range of 4K videos in real time, intelligently upgrading SDR videos and streams to HDR quality.

MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ will be available in the market soon, and the first phone will be introduced by iQOO in China soon. Complete specifications should be available soon.
