MIUI 14 with India-exclusive features to launch on February 27

Xiaomi has confirmed the official India launch of the MIUI 14 on February 27th, after it was introduced in China in December. MIUI 14 announced – New features and roll out details

Xiaomi today introduced MIUI 14, the company’s next-generation UI for its smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised. This follows the MIUI 13 which was introduced back in December last year. Xiaomi said that this is the 12th year of MIUI. Xiaomi announces end-of-support for Redmi K20, Redmi Note 7 series, Mi Pad 4 series and more

Xiaomi has added new smartphones to its EOS list. To those unaware, the devices included in the end-of-support list do not receive any firmware update. Xiaomi says that it might not even respond to security vulnerability reports for the devices included in the EOS list. Typically, the company provides security updates for at least 2 years from launch.

POCO X3 Pro MIUI Update Tracker [Update: Android 12 Based MIUI 13 Update Rolling Out in India]

POCO India launched the POCO X3 Pro back in March 2021 in India. It came pre-loaded with Android 11 based MIUI 12. POCO X3 Pro has started receiving Android 12 based MIUI 13 update.

POCO F3 GT MIUI 13 Software Update Tracker [Update: Android 12-based MIUI 13 rolling out widely in India]

POCO launched the POCO F3 GT handset back in July 2021 in India. The POCO F3 GT is the second POCO F-series handset to launch in India. The handset is a rebranded Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition that launched a few months back in China. POCO F3 GT boots the company’s proprietary MIUI 12.5 on top of Android 11.

Xiaomi launched Mi 11X series back in April 2021 in India. The Mi 11X series devices run Android 11 with the company’s proprietary skin – MIUI 12 on top. The Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro are rebranded Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro+, which launched back in February 2021 in China. These smartphones are available as POCO F3 and Mi 11i respectively in Global markets.

This doesn’t bring several features that were launched in China, but only finetunes some features that were already available with the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced.
