Vi launches Rs. 82 prepaid plan with SonyLIV subscription

Vi, erstwhile Vodafone Idea, announced the introduction of its Rs. 82 prepaid add-on bundle on Monday, which includes a 28-day subscription to SonyLIV Premium for mobile devices. The new bundle is the outcome of Vi’s relationship with SonyLIV, which aims to give prepaid consumers access to a new list of over-the-top (OTT) entertainment. However, unlike a standard prepaid plan, this plan is merely a data voucher and does not include unlimited calls. The validity period is only 14 days. Vodafone Idea has silently introduced new Rs. 29 plan that becomes the company’s new minimum recharge All Rounder plans. The new plan offers Rs. 20 worth talk time benefits for calls and SMS, adds 2.5p/sec call rate cutter as well as 100 MB data with 14 days of validity. This looks like a good deal for the price. Vodafone Idea launches voice-based contactless recharge at retail outlets

Vodafone Idea has introduced yet another initiative to help their customers maintain social distancing protocols when using their retail store services. It is a voice-based contactless recharge option that is enabled in the Vodafone Idea Smart Connect retailer app, using Google voice recognition to input a customer’s phone number.

Vodafone Idea offers unlimited calling to other networks with all unlimited plans

After Airtel, Vodafone Idea has is also now offering unlimited calling to other networks on their unlimited plans. Similar to Airtel,  there are ‘no conditions’ applicable and users can enjoy unlimited calling to any network on all unlimited plans. Vodafone Idea  revised its prepaid plans few days back to introduce FUP in off-net minutes and charged 6p/min for them, which is not applicable anymore with any of the unlimited plans. Vodafone mulling an exit from Indian market as losses mount: Report [Update: Vodafone denies exit rumors]
