Panasonic P11 Photo Gallery
Panasonic recently launched the P11 which has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on Android 4.1.2(Jelly Bean). The Panasonic P11 comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and it also comes with dual SIM support with dual standby. Panasonic P11 has a solid build quality with a matte finish back that gives it a good grip and feels nice on the hand.
Nokia Lumia 2520 Photo Gallery
Nokia’s device division might be acquired by Microsoft soon, but that hasn’t stopped the company from bringing back its mobility vision in computers back into its portfolio. We saw the yesteryear Booklet 3G, which was one of the very few notebooks that could use a SIM and now we see a similar vision in the LTE enabled Lumia 2520, one of the first tablets to launch without a WiFi-only variant. It’s a bold step by Nokia, wanting to fill the void created by WiFi only tablets that are seemingly used only at home. Launching it with a beautiful power keyboard as an accessory for some extra bucks, the tablet envisions portable productivity with standard Nokia influences in hardware showing off. We took the Lumia 2520 for a spin in front of our camera, so here is a photo gallery, for your viewing pleasure.

There is new meaning to the popular “see more” marketing tagline from Nokia, as it aptly applies to the newly launched Nokia Lumia 1520 and its huge 6 inches of screen real estate. As you can see from the image above, you can literally “see more” of our webpage on that massive screen. It helps that it is full HD resolution too, and finally has that much needed upgrade to the faster Snapdragon 800 SoC. This phone aims to be the jack of all trades and aims to offer everything in a huge screen, which is currently the awkward trend in Smartphones. So, how does it look in real? Microsoft just announced the Windows Phone 8 GDR Update 3 release for all WP8 devices, and also announced the “Developer Preview” program for enthusiasts who want early access to the Operating System’s pre-release bits. All it needed was a simple 3-step method to install the update on your phone, and of course, without any second thoughts, we did it on our Lumia 820. Yes, we have installed the Windows Phone 8 GDR Update 3 on our device and it’s running great. The press releases didn’t have much to show in terms of what’s really changed with the third update of the operating system, so we are going to give you a visual walkthrough of what’s new in the GDR3 update.

Apple iPhone 5s Camera Samples
The Apple iPhone 5s that we unboxed earlier is very much an “s” upgrade of the 5. The first upgrade for the 3g to the 3gs involved a better 3.2 megapixel camera, the second one from 4 to the 4s brought a 8 megapixel camera and the difference in quality was massive, and now we are at the third “s” upgrade which has brought upon significant improvements for the camera, but this time, it’s not about the megapixels. Apple has subverted the megapixel movement and, much like what HTC did, has improved the pixel size. The pixel size might be a marginal increase but Apple claims that it really shows in the photos. Well, does it?
That’s exactly what we are going to see below, with several camera samples from our iPhone 5s for an objective look at the quality. We’ll be comparing it with the iPhone 5 and several other devices at a later stage, but for now, dive in!
Samsung Galaxy Golden Photo Gallery
After all the hype surrounding the golden iPhone , we are always on the look out for golden phones.If you have been following us closely , you must have read about the Samsung Galaxy Golden which was launched in South Korea back in August. It is an interesting flip phone running Android and features dual 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED displays , one on the inside and one on the outside. The phone goes by the model number SHV-E400S in case you are planning to get your hands on one. Sadly no video but we have plenty of photos of the phone and the retail box for your viewing pleasure.
HTC Butterfly S Camera Samples
The HTC Butterfly S, as you might have known by now, has landed in our office and we had promptly unboxed it for a quick look. One of the highlights of the Butterfly S is that it has the same 4 MP UltraPixel camera from the HTC One that the company famously proclaimed as one of the best. We had some tests done that proved otherwise, but it was still an impressive direction that HTC had taken. They went against the Megapixel race by introducing larger pixels for the 1/3″ sensor, but cut down the pixel count by half. You get a 2 micron pixel size after the size cut down and effectively, coupled with a f2.0 lens, it directly means great low light performance. There’s one small caveat though, the Butterfly S is not equipped with an OIS unit, so that makes things less interesting for low light, making us think how it can actually handle those conditions.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Camera Samples
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a leather-like texture on the back which is interesting, but what sits on top of it is even more interesting. Continuing the tradition of using the same camera units as the Galaxy S series for the Notes, Samsung has included the similar 13 megapixel camera for the Note 3, the exact same one that you find on the Galaxy S4. The 13 Megapixel sensor is Sony-made and is the 1/3.06″ Stacked EXMOR RS CMOS sensor that you find on various other devices like the very recent Oppo N1 and the Lenovo K900, but what differentiates Samsung devices from them is the Fujitsu-developed ISPs that are custom made for Samsung. With a bundle of great algorithms + ISP hardware and a highly sensitive camera sensor, the Note 3 strives to be as good as the Galaxy S4, or may be even better? The Apple iPhone 5s and 5c have been the fastest selling iPhones combined for Apple, with them seeing more than 9 million getting sold over just 3 days, but one thing that has been evading everyone’s hands and eyes has been the gold edition of the iPhone 5S. It has been sold out in nearly ever market the 5S has launched. Fortunately though, we have got our hands on the elusive Gold edition in the Hong Kong Apple Store.
