Nokia Lumia 525 Unboxing

nokia-lumia-525-unboxing-9

The Nokia Lumia 525 was announced a while back, with the sole intention of removing the 512 MB RAM limit that barred the original Lumia 520 from getting all the games and apps on the Windows Phone store. This is very similar to the 256 MB limit some of the devices had on Windows Phone 7.5, so Nokia made a quick revision by upping the RAM on the 520 and releasing it as the Lumia 525. This is, by no means, a generational successor to the 520, rather just a minor upgrade to the already popular best seller. We just got the retail version in India, which costs Rs. 10,400, as announced, so of course, we bring you the unboxing to see what’s in the box, and a quick hardware overview.

Intex Aqua HD Unboxing

Intex-aqua-hd-unboxing-6

Intex is fairly a newcomer in the Indian Smartphone market and it started launching Android devices much after Micromax or Karbonn, but now they have caught up with the lot by releasing MediaTek based devices under the Aqua range. We saw the cheapest Android 4.2.2 phone from the same company, and it even launched its flagship 1080p device – the Aqua i7. But today we have another 720p entry from Intex in the form of the Aqua HD. It sports a 4.7 inch HD screen and a 13 megapixel camera with an interesting design and build quality. We have unboxed the retail version of the box, so here is the video for a quick overview of the device and the box contents –

LG G2 Quick Windows Case Unboxing and Demo

N88A0152

LG G2, the company’s flagship phone that we recently reviewed, is very much a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S4. In that sense, LG have followed the tradition of releasing competing features and accessories similar to the S4, and that includes the Quick Window case for the G2. You might have seen us going hands on with this accessory at IFA and even comparing it with the Samsung S View Cover, but we have finally got it in our hands, the retail package, so here is a quick demo of the case on our G2 –

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Camera Samples

samsung-galaxy-note-3-camera-samples

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a leather-like texture on the back which is interesting, but what sits on top of it is even more interesting. Continuing the tradition of using the same camera units as the Galaxy S series for the Notes, Samsung has included the similar 13 megapixel camera for the Note 3, the exact same one that you find on the Galaxy S4. The 13 Megapixel sensor is Sony-made and is the 1/3.06″ Stacked EXMOR RS CMOS sensor that you find on various other devices like the very recent Oppo N1 and the Lenovo K900, but what differentiates Samsung devices from them is the Fujitsu-developed ISPs that are custom made for Samsung. With a bundle of great algorithms + ISP hardware and a highly sensitive camera sensor, the Note 3 strives to be as good as the Galaxy S4, or may be even better? Take a look at the camera samples below and find out for yourself!

Update: Check our fully detailed Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Review here.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was launched in India just a week ago, with much fanfare and a hefty price tag. Priced at a steep Rs. 49,990, the device has finally landed in the retail market in India and we have swiftly picked up one from nearby. We recently checked out the excellent benchmark scores of the Snapdragon 800 version but the version launched in India sports a Exynos 5 Octa(We’ll be posting benchmarks for this too), and that’s the one we are checking out today. A 5.7 inch 1080p screen, 3GB of RAM, one of the first USB 3.0 interfaces on a phone and a 13 Megapixel camera checks all the spec requirements for a top end flagship device. We couldn’t resist but show its box contents and a quick overview on video, so here you go – The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Unboxing and Overview Video
