Shortly after the global launch of the iPhone 6, Apple called its latest smartphone the greatest yet and according to recent figures, this has translated into sales and a noticeable improvement in Apple’s UK market share. Kantar Worldpanel Comtech report that strong sales of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus resulted in Apple’s market share reaching 42.5 percent in November. One benefit to having previously worked in the retail industry is that I often receive tips from people who work for major networks in the UK. As I can attest to, some of these tips can be absolute gems as people in retail often overhear things and the latest reveals tip some interesting information about iPhone 6 sales in the UK.
Sony’s Xperia Z3 is one of the many flagship devices out there battling it out with the iPhone. There is always this constant effort to one up Apple’s flagship every generation and the current one is no exception. The Z3 is Sony’s answer to Apple’s iPhone 6 and with both of them placing high emphasis on their cameras, we thought it’d be ideal to compare them and see how far the companies have gone, to take mobile story telling to the next level.
For the first time ever in the history of iPhones, Apple had forgone its “one size fits all” policy and released two different screen sizes for its flagship device. The iPhone 6 is the moderately sized variant, while 6 Plus is the Apple phablet we’ve been waiting for. We’ve got both the phones with us right now, so naturally, the first order of business is to unbox them. First up is the smaller iPhone 6 with its 4.7″ display, a new thinner design and souped up internals, finally giving us more screen real estate, and also playing catch up with the rest of the world. Apple introduced both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus few hours back. Both the iPhone models look exactly similar, have the same anodized aluminum back, new curved design, Apple A8 processor with M8 motion coprocessor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, NFC and more. These main difference it the screen size. The iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch (1334 x 750 pixels) screen, while the iPhone 6 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) screen.
