Intel 10th Gen ‘Comet Lake’ U-series and Y-series processors for thin and light laptops and 2-in-1s announced

Intel has announced new eight new 10th Gen Intel Core mobile PC processors (code-named ‘Comet Lake’) in the U-series and Y-series for thin-and-light laptop and 2-in-1s for long battery life. These promise double digit performance gains compared with the previous generation and also includes Intel’s first 6-core processor in the U-series, faster CPU frequencies, faster memory interfaces and Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) and broader scaling of Thunderbolt 3. Earlier this month Intel introduced the first products in 10th Gen Intel Core processor family, which were developed on the 10nm process technology. Xiaomi Mi A3 with 6-inch AMOLED display, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor launched in India starting at Rs. 12999

Xiaomi just launched the Mi A3, the company’s latest Android One smartphone in India, as it had promised.  It has a 6.088-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display, is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm SoC with up to 6GB of RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie), and the company has promised that it will be one of the first devices to get Android Q update. It has seventh gen in-display fingerprint scanner with a 15% increased fingerprint detection area.

Redmi Note 8 Pro 64MP Quad Camera phone and Redmi Note 8 to be announced on August 29

After teasers Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just confirmed that it will introduce the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones at an event in China along with the Redmi TV on August 29th. The image confirms 64-megapixel camera with quad camera setup for the Redmi Note 8 Pro. There is a fingerprint sensor below the camera module. The phones will have glass back.

Xiaomi posts 14.8% YoY increase in revenue in Q2 2019, 32.1 million smartphones shipped

Xiaomi has announced its earning for the second quarter (Q2 2019) that ended June 30, 2019. It has reported revenue of 51.951 billion yuan (US$ 7.35 billion) for Q1 2019, an increase of 14.8% YoY, among which international revenue grew 33.1% year-on-year to 21.9 billion yuan. Net profit for the quarter was approximately 1.96 billion yuan. Adjusted net profit (Non-IFRS Measure) was 3.64 billion yuan, up 71.7% YoY.
