Xiaomi Mi A2 Android 9.0 Pie stable update starts rolling out in India

Xiaomi launched the second-generation Android One device – Mi A2 in India back in August running Android 8.1 (Oreo). At the event, Xiaomi and Google promised Android version updates along with monthly security patch updates as the device was launched under the Android One program. Today the company has rolled out stable Android 9.0 (Pie) update for the smartphone, as it had promised, after few months of beta testing.

Realme will be the first to launch MediaTek Helio P70-powered smartphone globally [Update: U-series smartphone]

Motorola just announced that it has started rolling out Android 9.0 (Pie) update for the One Power Android One smartphone in India, as it had promised at the launch in September. Xiaomi Mi A2, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Y2 get a permanent price cut in India

After temporary price cuts during festive sales recently, Xiaomi has announced Rs. 1000 permanent price cut for the Xiaomi Mi A2, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Y2 smartphones. The company says that this is to celebrate Xiaomi being is the top Smartphone Brand for 5 quarters in a row as per the latest IDC report. The company says that Xiaomi India has an amazing 42% share of dual camera phones. It recently hiked the rates of  Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, 10000mAh Mi Powerbank 2i and Mi TV (32″ Pro & 49″ Pro).

Moto G7 with 6-inch FHD+ water-drop notch display, Snapdragon 660, dual rear cameras surface in press render, gets certified by the FCC

After live images back in August, and renders  last month, we have the first press render of the Moto G7, the successor of Moto G6. The phone has also been certified by the FCC in U.S. with the model number XT-1965. This confms Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 3000mAh battery and dimensions.

Honor 8X Review

Huawei’s Honor brand launched the  Honor 8X, a mid-range smartphone and the successor of the Honor 7X in India last month. It has a similar notch design as the P20 Lite, but this has minimal bezels. It has a 16-megapixel front camera, is powered Kirin 710 Octa-Core 12nm SoC with support for GPU Turbo feature and AI features. HMD Global schedules ‘Expect more’ event in Dubai on December 5, Nokia 9, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 2.1 Plus expected

HMD Global today announced an event in Dubai on December 5th to unveil three new smartphones. It has #expectmore. The company is expected to introduce the most expected Nokia 9, successor of the Nokia 8 and the Nokia 8 Sirocco at the event along with the Nokia 8.1 that will likely be the global version of the Nokia X7 that was introduced in China last month and the Nokia 2.1 Plus, successor of the Nokia 2.1 Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone that was introduced earlier this year.

Sharp AQUOS R2 Compact with 5.2-inch FHD+ IGZO display, dual-notch design, Snapdragon 845, Android 9.0 Pie announced

After ZTE Iceberg earlier this year, Sharp has announced AQUOS R2 Compact smartphone with dual-notch design with front camera at the top of the display and fingerprint sensor at the bottom. It also has face reconition, 5.2-inch full HD IGZO LCD display and has a compact body with a width of 64mm making to easy to hold.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 gets benchmarked again, reveals better score than Apple A12 Bionic and Kirin 980

Back in September Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship Mobile Platform which is said to be released as SM8150 passed through Geekbench revealing scores on-par with the Apple’s A11 Bionic chip and better than the Snapdragon 845-powered flagships. Now the SoC has passed through AnTuTu revealing whopping 362292 points, better than Apple’s A12 Bionic chip that scored around 3.5 lakhs, and Kirin 980’s score of 2.7 lakhs. New Nokia 106 affordable phone with long battery life announced

HMD Global has introduced new Nokia 106 feature phone as the successor of the old Nokia 106 that was introduced back in 2013. It has the same 1.8-inch (160 x 128 pixels) TFT display with 4-way Navi Key and the same 800mAh battery, but this promises 15.7 hours talk time.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) with quad rear cameras launching in India on November 20 on Flipkart and Amazon

Samsung is all set to launch its top-end Galaxy A9 2018 (SM-A920F) smartphone with quad-rear cameras in India on November 20th. The phone will be launched on Flipkart as well as Amazon.in. According to IANS the phone will be launched for around Rs 35,000, even though earlier rumors revealed it will be priced around Rs. 40,000.
