TECNO is preparing to expand its budget smartphone lineup in India with the upcoming launch of the TECNO Spark 50 5G. Scheduled for release on March 27th, the brand’s promotional materials indicate a strong focus on battery endurance, connectivity enhancements, and everyday durability, tailored specifically for the Indian consumer base.
Design and Durability
The Spark 50 5G introduces a refined design language featuring a horizontal, pill-shaped camera module on the rear. The device will be offered in four color variants: Fantasy Purple, Mint Green, Ink Black, and Champagne Gold. Emphasizing build quality, TECNO advertises the phone with a MIL-STD 810H certification, indicating it has undergone military-grade testing for drop resistance and overall toughness.
Battery
Marketed with the tagline “Power Ka Tashan,” the smartphone is equipped with a massive 6500 mAh battery. This high capacity is aimed directly at users who prioritize extended daily usage and multi-day standby times. To offset the large battery size, the device supports 45W fast charging.
Network and Connectivity
TECNO has integrated several specialized connectivity features into the Spark 50 5G:

- Faster Digital Payments: The phone utilizes signal-boosting technology (UPS 3.0) and NFC to facilitate quicker, more reliable UPI and digital transactions, even in areas with spotty network coverage.
