OnePlus just introduced the OnePlus 15T, a new device targeted at the compact smartphone market, as it had promised. Positioned as a small-screen flagship, the device combines a 6.32-inch form factor with high-end internals, a substantial battery capacity, and a comprehensive camera system.
Design and Build
The OnePlus 15T utilizes a “Free Design” language featuring a 6.32-inch flat screen with rounded corners and 1.1mm bezels. The device weighs 194g and is engineered with a 50:50 weight distribution to balance the feel during one-handed operation.
The back panel is constructed from fiberglass, while the display is protected by OPPO Crystal Shield Glass for drop and scratch resistance. The device also carries extensive ingress protection, with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
The device will be available in three colorways:
- Healing White Chocolate: Features a pure white metal frame utilizing a micro-arc oxidation process.
- Pure Cocoa: A standard brown/dark variant.
- Relaxing Matcha: A light green variant.
Core Specifications
The OnePlus 15T is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC achieves an AnTuTu score of over 4.45 million. It has up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM and uses a 5150mm² Vapor Chamber (VC). It uses G2 gaming network chip and has 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Recognition.
Display Technology
The 6.32-inch display is notable for its 165Hz refresh rate, a specification rarely found on compact devices. It supports native 165fps for supported mobile gaming titles, including various mainstream FPS and MOBA games.
For eye comfort, the screen utilizes new luminous materials and features a true hardware 1-nit minimum brightness for low-light environments. It also incorporates 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and low blue light optimization.
Battery and Charging
Despite the compact chassis, the device houses a 7500mAh Glacier Battery. OnePlus claims this capacity can yield up to 10.3 hours of MOBA gameplay or 40.5 hours of video streaming on a single charge.
In addition to 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, the phone supports global bypass power supply (allowing the phone to run on direct power while gaming without heating the battery) as well as both wired and wireless reverse charging.
Camera System
The imaging system on the OnePlus 15T, branded as LUMO Imaging, features hardware typically reserved for larger flagship models:
- Main Sensor: 50MP large Sony sensor.
- Telephoto Lens: 3.5x periscope telephoto lens (equivalent to an 85mm focal length) equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and supporting up to 7x optical-quality zoom.
- Software Features: Supports 4K ultra-high-definition live photos, Master Mode, wide-format composition, and various film-style presets.
