Airtel launches 4G services in Lakshadweep Islands

Airtel today launched 4G services in Lakshadweep, and the company claims that it is the first mobile operator to launch 4G services in the island, however BSNL had launched 4G services in Kavaratti back in November last year. Airtel 4G services will be available in Agatti, Bangaram and Kavaratti to begin with and will be gradually expanded to other islands of the archipelago. Apple said to launch 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch iPhones with 5G, OLED display in 2020

A rumor from last year revealed that Apple will launch new iPhone models with 5G support in 2020. A recent report said that 3 OLED iPhones including a smaller 5.42-inch model will arrive next year. Now, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that Apple will launch three iPhones that include models with 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch AMOLED displays and 5G support, as well as a low-end 6.1-inch OLED version with 4G LTE support in 2020. ZTE’s Nubia brand has launched  Red Magic 3, the company’s latest gaming smartphone in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.65-inch FHD+ HDR AMOLED display with 90hz refresh rate, HDR support, is powered by Snapdragon 855 with up to 12GB of RAM, and the company claims that it is the world’s first smartphone with an active cooling system that dramatically improving thermal performance. Vivo V1913A with 6.38-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 6GB RAM, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor gets certified

Soon after the Z5x, a new Vivo smartphone with V1913A/V1913T model number has been certified by TENAA in China. This reveals a 6.38-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch, 2GHz SoC, which could be Snapdragon 675, up to 6GB of RAM, 128GB storage, Android Pie, 16-megapixel primary rear camera, secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 2-megapixel camera for portait shots as well as 16-megapixel front camera.

Xiaomi’s component supplier Holitech Technology inaugurates its first component manufacturing plant in India

Xiaomi today announced that Holitech Technology which is its key component supplier has inaugurated its first component manufacturing plant in India located in Greater Noida in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The company was invited by Xiaomi back in Q1 2018 to investigate local manufacturing opportunities during its ‘Supplier Investment Summit’. Last year  Holitech Technology signed an MOU with the state of Andhra Pradesh to start local manufacturing in the city of Tirupati.

HUAWEI Nova 5 Pro with quad rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner and Nova 5 with Kirin 810 7nm SoC surface

Ahead of the official announcement on July 21st, HUAWEI Nova 5 Pro has surfaced in press shots on jd.com. This confirms quad rear cameras, waterdrop notch screen with minimal bezels and an in-display fingerpritn scanner. The phone will come in 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage versions in Forest Green, Purple, Black and Coral Orange colors.

Xiaomi to roll out Android Q beta update for Redmi K20, Mi 8, Redmi Note 7 Pro and more starting Q4 2019

At the Google I/O last month Google in partnership with Xiaomi announced Android Q Beta updates for the Mi MIX 3 5G and the Mi 9, later the company added the K20 Pro (China only) to the list. Today the company has confirmed its plans to roll out Android Q open beta update for Redmi K20, Mi 8 series, K20Mi Mix 2S, Mi Mix 3 and more from Q4 2019 as well as Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro in Q1 2020.

Xiaomi started crowdfunding for Mi LED Smart Bulb in India in April and started shipping it for the backers last month, now the company has launched it in India. It is a 10W bulb with 800 Lumens of brightness, comes with support for Amazon Alexa as well as Google Assistant, and doesn’t require a separate bridge like Philips Hue. Google is ending automatic syncing between Google Photos and Google Drive

Google currently offers automatic syncing between Drive and Google Photos, which will change from July 10th, after which, when you upload or delete photos in Google Drive or Google Photos, changes won’t reflect in the other service, so users will need to manually download items from Photos and upload them to Drive. Google Pixel 4 with square camera bump teased officially

After renders of the Pixel 4 surfaced earlier this week, Google for the first has officially posted the official teaser of its upcoming flagship smartphone months before the launch. This shows a square camera bump with multiple cameras. It reveals two bigger cameras, and a small camera on the top along with LED flash. It also shows a key on the right and Google logo on the back.
