Xiaomi Redmi 5 Android 8.1 Oreo Stable update with Dual 4G VoLTE starts rolling out [Download Link]

Xiaomi India launched the Redmi 5 running MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1 Nougat back in March. Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 9.0 Pie stable update starts rolling out, brings Dual 4G VoLTE, FM Radio and more [Download Link]

Update – December 25,2018: Xiaomi has started rolling out Mi A1 Android 9.0 (Pie) stable update for more users widely, including users in India. It has build number PKQ1.180917.001.V10.0.3.0.PDHMIFK, compared to v10.0.2.0 that rolled out earlier this month and is 1069.1MB in size, slightly smaller than the 1074.9MB. It brings December Android security patch. If you haven’t received the update, you can download it from here (or here) and flash it manually. If you have already reveived or flashed v10.0.2.0 update, you will receive a small update to 10.0.3.0 probably to fix bugs.

Xiaomi just announced Mi Play, the company’s latest smartphone in the new Play series in China, as it had promised. It has a 5.84-inch FHD+ display with a water-drop notch, is powered by the yet-to-be announced MediaTek Helio P35 12nm SoC with CPU/GPU Turbo, 4GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 10, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information in portait shots, AI scene detection and a 8-megapixel front camera with AI Beautify and AI portrait mode. Xiaomi introduces Mi Pay mobile payment solution in India

Xiaomi has introduced Mi Pay mobile payment solution in India supported by ICICI Bank and PayU. The company today started registrations for beta testing as National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has cleared Mi Pay for large group usage. The company said that Mi Pay would be integrated within the Contacts, SMS, Scanner apps as well as App Vault in MIUI and will be available for all MIUI users soon.

Yesterday Xiaomi announced that it will introduce a new Mi Play series smartphone on December 24th. Now the company has teased the phone in images that shows a waterdrop notch and dual rear cameras. After all, this is the same phone that got certified by TENAA few days back, and was mistaken as the Redmi 7 series smartphone.

After a teaser recently, Xiaomi today announced that it will introduce a smartphone in the new Play series in China on December 24th. The company doesn’t reveal any details other than the name of the phone, but the name hints that it could be targeted at gaming.
