Xiaomi Mi 27W SonicCharge Superfast charger launched in India for Rs. 999

Along with the K20 series smartphones Xiaomi also launched its new 27W Superfast charger, which it calls SonicCharge adapter, as expected. The company launched the 18W Quick Charge 3.0 charger last year. The new 27W SonicCharge fast charger will be useful for those who have Redmi K20 Pro since it comes only with 18W charger in the box. Xiaomi only mentions Quick Charge 3.0 support for the new charger on the site.

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just launched the Redmi K20 Pro, the latest flagship Redmi smartphone, as it had promised. It has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to narrow 1.85mm side bezel, which the company calls Horizon AMOLED display, is powered by Snapdragon 855 with up to 8GB of RAM, 8 layers of graphite 3D sheet for a better heat dissipation, Game Turbo 2.0 and runs Android Pie with MIUI 10 on top. It has a 48-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, 8-megapixel telephoto lens for 2x loss-less zoom and a 13-megapixel 124.8° ultra-wide lens. Xiaomi Mi A3 with 6-inch AMOLED display, triple rear cameras, 32MP front camera, in-display fingerprint sensor surfaces

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will introduce the Mi A3 at an event next week. Now the press shots and live images of the phone have surfaced. This shows a similar design as the Mi CC9 series that were introduced earlier this month. It is said to feature a 6.08-inch AMOLED screen, but it is said to feature an FHD+ screen instead of HD+ screen on the Mi CC9e and retain the Snapdragon 665 SoC.

Xiaomi is looking for POCO F1 devices with touch issues

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched POCO F1 almost a year ago in India. The smartphone was a great value for money but had a few issues, such as screen bleeding but the company was very responsive towards addressing the issues. Users have been complaining about the touch issues on POCO F1, the company released various OTA updates to fix the issue but it seems like the issue is still not fixed. MIUI update brings shortcut to switch SIM card for data connectivity

Xiaomi’s MIUI is amongst the most popular android skins with more than 300 million worldwide users. MIUI is a heavy skin on top of Android, but what sets it apart from other Android skins is its feature richness and customizations. Xiaomi used to roll out MIUI Global Beta ROM update biweekly, including closed beta on every Tuesday and public beta on every Friday but last month, the company announced its plan to terminate MIUI Global Beta ROM program and said that Global Beta ROM updates will not be released after 1 July. Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 32-inch and 43-inch (2018) Android 9.0 (Pie) early access program registrations open

Xiaomi launched Mi TV 4A 32-inch HD ready and 43-inch Full HD models last year running Patchwall based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). These TVs didn’t get any updates, even months after the company released new Android TV models running Android Oreo-based Patchwall. Today the company has started early access program to offer Android 9.0 (Pie) Android TV update directly to these users, skipping Android Oreo. Xiaomi also adds that it is the first TV brand in the country to roll out Android 9 update for its Mi TVs.

Realme CEO takes a jab at Redmi 7A, calls Realme C2 ‘Desh ka Real Choice’

Just after the Redmi 7A launch in the country, Realme India CEO took it to Twitter to compare Realme C2 with ‘Smartphone A’ in a couple of tweets and referred to Realme C2 as ‘Desh ka Real Choice’ which was launched back in April. The specifications of the ‘Smartphone A’ in Madhav’s tweets resemble that of Redmi 7A, which Xiaomi is promoting as ‘Smart Desh ka Smartphone’.
