[Update, Jan 6, 2021]: Xiaomi has started Android 9.0 based MIUI 12 Stable ROM roll-out for Redmi Note 6 Pro users. The update comes as MIUI 126.96.36.199.PEKMIXM, weighs 732MBs in size, and brings November Android security patch to the device. If you haven’t received the update on your device, you can download the Recovery ROM here and try flashing it using the recovery method.
Update: Redmi 7A MIUI v188.8.131.52 has started rolling out widely after v184.108.40.206 was rolled back. You can download the recover ROM here or the OTA from V10.2.10.0 here and update it manually, if you have not received the update yet.
Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 11 along with the Redmi Note 8 series at an event in India. MIUI 11 aims to bring a brand new optimized modern UI design focused on content viewing and has along with nifty additions designed specifically for India. The company has already completed MIUI 11 rollout for the first phase of devices and has already started testing MIUI Stable Beta for the second and third batch of devices.
Now, the company has started rolling out MIUI 11 Global Stable update to Redmi Note 4 users in India. The new update comes as MIUI 220.127.116.11.NCFMIXM and weighs around 458 MBs in size. Xiaomi has not updated the Android Security patch on the device and it still runs on almost a year old December 2018 patch. MIUI 11 brings new features such as New Minimalistic Design, Blur App Previews, Quick Replies, New Dynamic Sound Effects, Floating Calculator, Updated Mi File Manager, and more to the device, but we found the new file-sharing tech Mi Share missing on our unit.
If you haven’t received the update on your device, you can download the Recovery ROM here and try flashing it using the recovery method but it may not work as it might be staged rollout. Xiaomi introduced MIUI 11, the next major MIUI update in China last month, and stable MIUI 11 for the first set of devices is already rolling out in China. Today MIUI India has officially confirmed that the global launch for MIUI 11 will happen on October 16th, along with the Redmi Note 8 Pro launch.

After rumors, Xiaomi today confirmed that it will announce the Mi 9 Pro 5G at an event in China on September 24th. It will also showcase the next-generation Mi MIX phone with 5G concept, which is rumored to come with a 108MP Samsung sensor, but the final phone might launch sometime later this year. The company is also expected to introduce MIUI 11 as well as new Mi TV models at the event. Xiaomi at its annual meeting for MIUI division earlier this year said that it has started the development of MIUI 11 and it will be new and unique. Now, Xiaomi has accidentally pushed MIUI 11 update for few devices like the Redmi K20 Pro, Mi Mix 2S, and Mi 6, revealing the new design and features.
Xiaomi introduced MIUI 10 at its Mi 8 launch event back in May last year in China. Yesterday, at its Annual Meeting for MIUI division to discuss the past year and future development, the company said that it has started the development of MIUI 11.
