In the future almost everything is going to be mobile and compact, and Canonical has just taken a step further to prove this fact. I am a big fan of Open Source and when I heard about Canonical working for a mobile version of Ubuntu I was excited, like I was excited when I heard about Google working on a Linux based mobile platform, but I had no idea that Ubuntu for Android was what they have been working on and this concept is really beautiful, the merger of mobile O.S and a desktop O.S is here.

New images of their 10-inch Android tablet has surfaced ahead of MWC launch that shows its thin metal body. Images of Huawei Ascend D1 Q quad-core smartphone surfaced couple of days back. This tablet is said to come with 10-inch display with 16:9 aspect ratio and would run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Last time Apple tried to sell its latest iPhone, the iPhone 4S at the Apple stores in China, there was a huge crowd and loads of people, due to which Apple halted the sales, and closed the store on the launching date. Now China Telecom has announced that it will be bringing the iPhone 4S final to China for the consumers on their network starting March 9th.
This is great news as finally all the people waiting to get their hands on this device have to wait no more. Pre-order for the device will start from March 2nd and it will be free on contract and will come in the usual ranges of 16 GB, 32 GB and 64GB.

eyeSight Mobile Technologies has announced that they would launch SoundWave music app with new gesture recognition technology at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona, Spain. They were the ones behind the gesture controls in the Micromax A85 that was launched last November. The SoundWave app for iPhone and iPad would enable users to control their iPhones and iPads using simple hand gestures. Panasonic has announced a new waterproof Android smartphone, Panasonic ELUGA for Europe. This phone is sleek, which is just 7.8 mm thick and weighs 103 g. It has 4.3 inch, (960×540 pixels ), capacitive OLED display that has 66% display area ratio, 1GHz dual-core processor (OMAP4430) and 8MP auto focus camera. It is protected for up to a depth of 1 metre for up to 30 minutes in water, and protected against dust if left near or in it for 8h or less. Samsung has announced 2 new phones, GALAXY Ace 2 and GALAXY mini 2 in the Galaxy Series. The Galaxy Ace 2 is the successor of the GALAXY Ace that was launched last year. It has 3.8-inch display. The GALAXY mini 2 is the successor of GALAXY mini that was also launched last year. It has 3.27-inch display. The GALAXY Ace 2 is powered by 800MHz Dual-Core Processor and the GALAXY mini is powered by 800MHz Single-Core Processor. Both runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
