vivo has introduced the S50 and S50 Pro mini smartphones in the S50 series in China, as it had promised. The S50 gets a smaller 6.59-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED panel, and the S50 Pro mini retains the 6.31-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen.
The vivo S50 is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and the S50 Pro mini is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, a major upgrade compared to Dimensity 9300+ in the predecessor.
The phones feature a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.95-inch large-sensor Sony IMX882 sensor and a 50MP front camera.
This time both the phones feature an aviation-grade aluminum frame, ultrasonic fingerprint 2.0, IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance and pack a 6500mAh battery supporting 90W wired fast charging and the S50 Pro mini also has 40W wireless flash charging and wireless reverse charging.
