Nokia Vertu prototype running Windows Phone 8 surface

Spy shots of Nokia Vertu phone running Windows Phone 8 OS has surfaced in a Chinese site bbs.ngacn.cc. Nokia today announced their plans to sell Vertu, their luxury phone division to EQT VI in Europe, so we might not see this device. Nokia ‘sharpens’ strategy, Announces job cuts amidst factory closures

As part of their ongoing strategic changes, Nokia just announced a major shake up in senior management along with major restructuring in terms of facilities and overheads. The biggest of these changes is going to be the 10,000 strong global job cut. Of these 3,700 employees will be from Finland which we’re hearing is about 25% of the work force based out of Finland.

Motorola Razr Maxx up for pre-order in India for Rs. 31,999


Motorola Razr Maxx is now available for pre-order in India from online retailer Infibeam. The LTE version, Droid Razr Maxx for Verizon was unveiled at CES 2012 earlier this year and the 3G HSPA version was announced in April. It was priced in UKin soon after that. It comes with a 3300 mAh battery, which offers up to 17.6 hours of talk-time and 607 hours standby on a single charge. It is 8.99 mm thick and weighs 145 grams.

Developer manages to run iOS apps on BlackBerry PlayBook

A developer has managed to run iOS apps running on the BlackBerry PlayBook via an iOS player. The developer called businesscat2000 has posted several videos on the CrackBerry forums after which they tested him to prove the videos are real. RIM brought support to run Java and Android apps via App players last year and is prepping for the next BlackBerry 10 OS launch that would also be available for the PlayBook which would bring new features. Huawei Honor Review


Here is the FoneArena review of the Huawei Honor. It was announced last year and was showcased at MWC 2012. It was available in India in April and officially launched by mid-April. It is Huawei’s first high-end phone available in India. Let’s get into the review. has 4-inch ( 854 x 480 pixels) LCD capacitive touchscreen display and is powered by 1.4GHz single-core processor. Samsung has launched TecTiles Programmable NFC Tags that can be customized to launch apps, send text messages, share contact information, change phone settings, send text messages automatically and more, with NFC-enabled Galaxy smartphones. Nokia 808 PureView launched in India for Rs. 33,899


Nokia has finally launched the 808 PureView, their flagship camera phone with 41MP sensor. Nokia announced the Nokia 808 PureView at MWC 2012 and said it would launch in May 2012, but it was delayed. They announced last week that it would launch mid-June and sent us an invite for today’s launch event. It even got a price tag on their Nokia store yesterday. It has 4-inch (640 x 360 pixels) AMOLED CBD display with Gorilla Glass protection, 1.3 GHz processor and runs on Nokia Belle FP1 OS.
