Google Labs adds Photoshoot feature to Pomelli for AI-powered product photography

Google Labs has introduced Photoshoot, a new feature within its free marketing platform, Pomelli. The update is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses that may not have the time or budget to manage professional photography and ongoing digital marketing requirements.

Photoshoot uses Business DNA, which captures a brand’s context and visual identity, along with Nano Banana image generation to transform standard product images into studio-style visuals suitable for websites and social media platforms.

Pomelli

Pomelli is a free tool from Google Labs designed to help businesses produce consistent, brand-relevant marketing materials without relying on a professional studio setup. It focuses on simplifying visual asset creation and campaign development for businesses with limited internal resources.

The platform builds a Business DNA profile based on a company’s products, tone, and design preferences. Using this information, Pomelli generates on-brand images and marketing campaigns. It supports a wide range of business types, including sellers of handmade goods, food and beverage products, and service-based businesses such as fitness or wellness studios.

Alongside Photoshoot, Pomelli introduces an updated design experience intended to help users express ideas both visually and through written prompts.
