Samsung Galaxy S III coming to 5 US carriers starting in June

Samsung has officially announced that the Samsung Galaxy S III would be available from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular starting in June. It would come 4.8-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 2.0 to guard against cracks and scratches and is powered by Snapdragon S4 Dual Core 1.5 GHz processor. RIM wins lawsuit over BBM Trademark


Research in Motion (RIM) has won the law suit that lets them to continue using the BBM name for its BlackBerry Messenger service. Last December, BBM Canada, a broadcasting company filed a lawsuit against RIM to stop RIM from advertising the service using the shortened name. Samsung Galaxy S3 Price Comparison


Samsung launched the S3 in India yesterday at an MRP of Rs. 43,180, which seemed too costly. But in reality the MRP (Maximum Retail Price) is much higher than the MOP (Market Operating Price). The MOP for the Galaxy S3 is expected to be between Rs.37000 to Rs. 39000. Samsung releases Galaxy S3 source code


Samsung has released the kernel source code for the international version of the Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300), few days after launching the phone. It has released the source code even before the Galaxy S3 hits the customers worldwide. Nokia India teases 808 PureView launch with countdown

Nokia India seems to be ramping up the activities leading up to the launch of its much awaited camera phone , the 808 PureView . In addition to the pre-order page , the company has also today introduced a countdown. We suspect that the countdown might lead to the announcement of availability of the phone but as of now that is just speculation.

MTNL Mumbai revises 3G tariffs, launches new plans


MTNL Mumbai has revised their old 3G tariffs and have also launched new plans for both pre-paid and post-paid customers. The Rs. 99 plan now offers 300 MB of 3G data, Rs. 250 offers 1.1GB of 3G data, Rs. 450 plan offers 2.2 GB of data and the Rs 750 plan offers 4.4 GB that are valid for 30 days. Samsung has announced Galaxy R Style (SHV- E170S/K/L), LTE-enabled Android smartphone in South Korea. It is powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) along with Samsung TouchWiz UI. It has 4.3 inch SUPER AMOLED display and 5MP camera with LED Flash. Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 sales surpass 50 million globally


Samsung has announced that the combined sales (to channels and distributors) of Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 has crossed 50 million globally. Samsung Galaxy S that was launched in June 2010 sold 24 million units and the Samsung Galaxy S2 sales crossed 28 million units, 13 months after its debut. Samsung Galaxy Note that was launched last October topped 7 million units in just 7 months. It crossed the 5 million mark in March. AT&T 4G LTE Speed Test

I was traveling across the US this summer starting from Orlando , going over to Miami Beach and then to New Orleans for CTIA. After that spent part of the weekend in Las Vegas and after that went over to Los Angeles before flying back to India via Frankfurt.

AT&T provided me with a review unit of the LG Nitro HD which supports the carrier’s advertised 4G speeds.AT&T has still not fully rolled out LTE across the US but I don’t know if i was lucky , each and every city I visited had a 4G LTE signal.
