The GSM Association has announced the winners for the 19th annual Global Mobile Awards at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Last year the Galaxy S3 bagged the award, this year HTC One was awarded the best smartphone of the year, even though it had tough contenders such as Samsung Galaxy Note 3, iPhone 5S, Nokia Lumia 1020 and the LG G2. Nokia bagged two awards, the Lumia 520 bagged the award for the best low-cost smartphone of the year, competing with phones like Sony Xperia E and Samsung Galaxy Young. The GSM Association has announced the winners for the 18th annual Global Mobile Awards at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The nominees for the Global Mobile Awards 2013 were announced earlier this month. Even though the Apple for iPhone 5 was a tough contender in the best smartphone segment, the Samsung Galaxy S3 bagged the Best Smartphone of the Year award. Google Nexus 7 grabbed the Best Mobile Tablet of the year award beating the iPad and the iPad mini, and the Nokia Asha 305 won the best entry-level / feature phone award.
