Xiaomi has announced MIUI 9, the latest MIUI ROM at an event in Beijing along with the Mi 5X smartphone. It brings several improvements, optimizations and new features, including new smart assistant and universal search. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said that now there are 281 million active MIUI users worldwide in 55 languages and 142 countries. Microsoft Kaizala chat and productivity app launched in India

Microsoft has officially launched Kaizala chat and productivity app in India. Available for Android and iOS, Kaizala is aimed at large group communications and work management. Similar to WhatsApp, users will have to use mobile phone numbers as their primary unique ID to use the Kaizala app that is powered by Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

Airtel profits down 75% YoY in FY Q1, India revenues down 10% YoY

Airtel has announced consolidated results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2017 in which it posted consolidated revenue of Rs. 21,958 crore, YoY drop of 11.1%, less than the expected drop of 14.0%. India revenues were at Rs. 17,244 crore that has declined by 10.0% YoY primarily led by mobile drop of 14.1% YoY. Net Income was at Rs 367 crore  compared to Rs 1,462 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, down 74.9%.”Mobile market remains turbulent in the current quarter as well, due to disruptive pricing by a new operator,” said Airtel.
