Realme X with 6.53-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, up to 8GB RAM, 48MP rear camera, in-display fingerprint sensor announced


Realme just announced the realme X, the company’s latest top-end smartphone, as it had promised. It has a 6.53-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display from Samsung with 2.2mm narrow border on the top and 1.62mm ultra narrow bezels on the sides offering 91.2% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform with up to 8GB of RAM and new gel cooling that reduces the temperature up to 15.2% in one hour. It has a sixth-generation in-display fingerprint scanner, 

It has a 48-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, AI scene recognition and a 5-megapixel secondary camera for capturing depth information in portrait shots. The phone has a 16-megapixel pop-up front camera with Sony IMX471 sensor and can launch in 0.74 seconds. The company says that the elevating mechanism has been tested 200,000 times. It has a gradient glass back with S-shaped curve. It packs a 3765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.

The realme X comes in Steam White and Punk blue colors and is priced at 1499 yuan (US$ 219 / Rs. 15,325 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 1599 yuan (US$ 232 / Rs. 16,345 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and the top-end 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 1799 yuan (US$ 261 / Rs. 18,395 approx.).

There is also a Master Edition designed by Naoto Fukasawa in Onion and Garlic White colors with unique patterns at 1899 yuan (US$ 276 / Rs. 19,410 approx.). It will go on sale in China starting from May 20th.

The company also introduced the realme X Youth Edition, which has similar specifications as the realme 3 Pro that was launched in India last month.

The realme X Lite comes in Nitro Blue and Lightning Purple colors and is priced at 1199 yuan (US$ 174 / Rs. 12,260 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 1299 yuan (US$ 189 / Rs. 13,290 approx.) for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and the top-end 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 1499 yuan (US$ 218 / Rs. 15,334 approx.). This is slightly cheaper than the realme 3 Pro in India.
