Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 5G 4nm SoC with Cortex-X2 CPU, Adreno 730 GPU surfaces in benchmarks

Qualcomm is all set to introduce Snapdragon 898 (SM8450), the company’s upcoming 5G Mobile Platform as the successor to Snapdragon 888 / 888+ in a few months. The chip has surfaced in benchmark of a vivo test device fomr China with the model number V2102A with 8GB of RAM, running Android 12. According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the SoC will use Samsung’s 4nm process technology, and the prime core will feature the new Cortex-X2 CPU compared to Cortex-X1 in the Snapdragon 888. OnePlus Watch B.65 update adds Spotify music mode, real-time navigation display and more

OnePlus has been pushing updates for its OnePlus Watch once in a few weeks since the launch back in March. Redmi Note 8 Pro MIUI Software Update Tracker [MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 rolling out in India widely]

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone in India running MIUI 10.4 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). The smartphone has already received Android 10 based MIUI 12 Stable update in various regions including India.

WhatsApp hit with €225 million fine for breaching EU privacy law

The Data Protection Commission (DPC) has finished the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) investigation it conducted on WhatsApp in Ireland that commenced in December 2018. This was to examine whether WhatsApp has discharged its GDPR transparency obligations with regard to the provision of information and the transparency of that information to both users and non-users of WhatsApp’s service. WhatsApp iPhone to Android chat history transfer starts rolling out

Update: WhatsApp has started rolling out the ability to move WhatsApp history from iOS to Android, finally. This includes voice messages, photos and videos. As announced earlier, this feature is available for Samsung devices running Android 10 or higher, and will be available on more Android devices soon. Redmi today launched the Redmi 10 Prime, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the Prime series, as the successor to last year’s Redmi 9 Prime. This has a large 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz refresh rate adaptive display, is the first phone to be powered by MediaTek Helio G88 and packs a huge 6000mAh battery. Redmi 10 Prime with 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, Helio G88, 50MP quad rear cameras, 6000mAh battery launched in India starting at Rs. 12499

Redmi just launched the Redmi 10 Prime, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series as the successor to last year Redmi 9 Prime in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with AdaptiveSync 90Hz (45/60/90Hz) refresh rate, Reading mode 3.0, and it is the first phone to be powered by MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. It comes with up to 6GB of RAM with up to 2GB of memory expansion. The phone has a 50MP rear camera, a first of its kind in its category, accompanied by 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Airtel demonstrates Cloud Gaming on its 5G network

Airtel today announced that it has successfully conducted India’s first cloud gaming session in a 5G environment. It was conducted in Manesar (Guragon) as part of the ongoing 5G trails using spectrum allotted  by the Department of Telecom (DoT). Apollo Funds complete acquisition of Yahoo

Apollo Global Management today announced that Apollo Funds have completed the acquisition of Yahoo from Verizon Media, after that for $5 billion deal was announced back in May. With the close of the transaction, Yahoo will now operate as a standalone company under Apollo Funds. Verizon has retained a 10% stake in Yahoo. After rumours and teasers, realme today confirmed the launch of the realme 8s 5G, successor to the realme 8 5G with Dimensity 810, making it the first phone with the chip. The realme 8i, an enhanced version of the realme 8 and the successor to the realme 7i will also be introduced alongside is  the India’s first phone to come with Helio G96. Samsung introduces world’s first 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor, new 50MP ISOCELL GN5 sensor with Dual Pixel Pro

After rumours, Samsung just announced ISOCELL HP1, the first 200MP image sensor with 0.64μm pixel sensor and 50MP ISOCELL GN5 that is the first image sensor to adopt all-directional focusing Dual Pixel Pro technology with two photodiodes in a single 1.0μm pixel. Both these support up to 8K 30fps, 4K 120fps and FHD 240fps video recording. PUBG: NEW STATE battle royale mobile game pre-registrations begin in India

KRAFTON, the South Korean game developer, after the launch of BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA in July, is all set to launch the PUBG: NEW STATE battle royale mobile game in India. The game was introduced earlier this year with an Alpha Test that ended a few days back. The company recently said that it received a lot of bug reports, suggestions, and feedback from the player communities, which it will be analyzing to make game even better.
