Earlier today at IFA 2026 in Berlin, Xiaomi showed off its upcoming foldable – Xiaomi 18 Fold, as the first flagship with its in-house XRING03 silicon. The Fold 18 is also going to feature Leica imaging for the camera tech.
While we could not get our hands on the device, as it was present in a locked box, we could still get a good idea of the device’s form factor and specs. The cover screen would be a 5.4-inch display, and the inner display would be a 7.6-inch screen featuring a dragon-bone hinge.
The highlight is the rounded corners, unlike the Z Fold 8 from Samsung which takes a more rectangular design. The rear features a triple camera arrangement, and there is a camera on the cover screen and an under-display camera on the right side when the device is opened.
The 18 Fold looks pretty well built and is about 7-9 mm thick when folded and about 5 mm when unfolded.
The SIM card slot and speaker are on the top. It is expected to feature a 6000 mAh battery and feature LPDDR6 RAM.
The first foldable from Apple—rumored to be the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra is expected to be revealed by Apple on September 9 at the iPhone launch event in Cupertino.
