The complimentary annual subscription is available to eligible Airtel subscribers across mobile, home broadband (Wi-Fi), and DTH services. Users can claim the one-year offer directly via the Airtel App on Android or iOS without needing to provide credit card details, subject to terms and conditions.
Key Features of the Partnership
- Ad-Free Learning: Subscribers receive an uninterrupted learning environment without advertisements.
- Unlimited Energy: Users can practice continuously without the session limits enforced in the standard free tier.
- AI and Personalization: The premium tier incorporates AI-assisted real-time speaking practice, personalized review sessions, and dedicated mistake correction tools.
- Service Integration: The offer is distributed through Airtel’s primary customer loyalty platform, the Airtel Thanks App, targeting its multi-segment user base.
Platform Scope and Localization
Duolingo provides instruction in more than 40 languages alongside subjects including Math, Music, and Chess. To address India’s linguistic diversity, the platform has steadily introduced localized English courses tailored for native speakers of regional languages. Its catalog currently supports learners speaking Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, and Urdu, with an English learning module for Punjabi speakers among its recent additions.
The tie-up aligns Airtel’s digital content offerings with Duolingo’s global reach, providing the telecom operator’s subscriber network with structured digital learning tools focused on language acquisition and skill development.
Commenting on the partnership, Rashi Dhanani, Head of Business Development at Duolingo India, said:
India is one of our most important markets, and we see a growing appetite for language learning driven by the needs of students, professionals and an increasingly global workforce. Learning a language should be accessible, engaging and easy to build into everyday life. Our partnership with Airtel brings Super Duolingo to a wider audience, giving learners across India access to an enhanced learning experience and more ways to stay motivated and make consistent progress.
